Jakarta, November 4, 2024 – The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) announced changes in PT Pertamina (Persero)’s leadership structure through the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) on Monday (04/11/2024). These changes involve the appointment of the President Director and the Board of Commissioners who will lead Pertamina in the future.
In the GMS, which decisions are outlined in SK-258/MBU/11/2024 and SK-259/MBU/11/2024 regarding the Dismissal and Appointment of Members of the Board of Commissioners and Directors of the State-Owned Company PT Pertamina (Persero), Mochamad Iriawan was appointed as President Commissioner, Dony Oskaria as Deputy President Commissioner, Raden Adjeng Sondaryani as Independent Commissioner, and Simon Aloysius Mantiri as President Director of Pertamina.
The Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso, explained that the appointment and dismissal of SOEs’ directors and commissioners, including Pertamina, are the prerogatives of the government, represented by the Minister of SOEs as the shareholder.
"Changes in company leadership are a normal and reasonable process according to existing regulations," said Fadjar.
He stated that the presence of new leadership will be a fresh source of energy to ensure Pertamina’s sustainability in the future. The previous leadership will serve as a strong foundation for the company's progress and for realizing national energy resilience and independence.
In the new Board of Commissioners lineup, Mochamad Iriawan, now serving as President Commissioner of Pertamina, is a retired high-ranking officer of the Indonesian National Police who previously served as the Principal Secretary of the National Resilience Institute (LEMHANAS). Dony Oskaria, as Deputy President Commissioner of Pertamina, currently holds the position of Deputy Minister of SOEs. Raden Adjeng Sondaryani, now an Independent Commissioner of Pertamina, previously served as Chairperson of the Petroleum Alumni Association at Trisakti University.
At the same time, Pertamina also expressed its gratitude to Ms. Nicke Widyawati and Mr. Ahmad Fikri Assegaf, who have completed their duties as President Director and Independent Commissioner of Pertamina.
