Jakarta, September 11, 2021 - After restructuring, Pertamina's commitment to becoming a global energy champion continues to be proven by various innovations, one of which is by presenting the Pertamina Integrated Command Center (PICC). This digital-based technological innovation will show real-time data that support Pertamina's strategic role as an integrator of all business lines from operational and commercial aspects.
PICC is Pertamina's big data center which has four functions. Namely, as an integrator and coordinator of operational monitoring activities, including core, critical, and supporting processes. Second, PICC will be a single source of truth that is needed both within Pertamina Group's internal environment with integrated data. Third, PICC will analyze data into information, detect data, anomalies, test data reliability, and compile executive summaries as well as recommendations needed in the decision-making process. Fourth, PICC is a system that has the authority to follow up on anomalous conditions found and recommendations for Pertamina Group's top management.
Minister of SOE, Erick Thohir accompanied by Deputy Minister 1 of SOE, Pahala N Mansury, President Commissioner of Pertamina, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, and President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, inspected the PICC located on the 21st floor of Graha Pertamina, Jakarta (10/9).
At the inauguration of the Pertamina Subholding held before the review, Erick said, the business world is required to innovate, including Pertamina. One of the innovations that must be carried out is digitalization. Research and Development have become the key to a successful world-class company.
"Many world companies that used to depend on natural resources have shifted to technology. Aramco is now the sole global energy business in the Top 10, with the remainder taken up by technology and investment companies. This means, even though Pertamina is an energy company, digitalization of research and Development is very important so that the business continues to grow," said Erick.
The same thing was conveyed by the President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati. According to her, PICC is one of Pertamina's innovations to become a global energy champion.
"With this facility, Pertamina can implement a comprehensive strategy to provide efficiency while reducing the possibility of authority abuse. Therefore, Pertamina Group accountability is maintained," she explained.
The President Commissioner, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, also stated that the Command Center would improve the work stages of all Pertamina business lines.
"This facility is like a war room. All generals can analyze the data here to take policy steps forward," he said.
Therefore, he asked all holding and subholding management to start learning to make decisions from the data in the Command Center's big screen. "This is a good breakthrough and must continue to be developed for efficiency purposes. We can use all the data to make the right policies. The board of commissioners will often come to exchange ideas and see developments," said Basuki.
SVP Human Capital Management and PICC Team Leader, Lelin Eprianto, explained that PICC is managed by Pertamina officers, with the main display consisting of 84 55 Inch screens to monitor the performance dashboard of all sub holdings, starting from Upstream, Gas, Refinery & Petrochemical, Integrated Marine Logistics and Commercial & Trading in supporting energy security in Indonesia. In the future, it will also be equipped with the Pertamina New & Renewable Energy performance dashboard.
The upstream dashboard aims to ensure Operational Excellence and the smooth supply chain of Pertamina's oil & gas through a series of activities and results from operations on all Pertamina's Upstream Subholding assets located in Indonesia and abroad.
The gas dashboard is used to monitor, evaluate and optimize gas receipts, sales, and transportation activities in Indonesia. It includes those through Pertamina's gas subholding pipeline. It is 24 thousand kilometers long and the longest in Southeast Asia.
The refinery dashboard monitors the smooth supply chain of Pertamina's oil & gas through a series of operational activities as well as the production results of 7 Pertamina's Subholding Refining and Petrochemical refinery assets.
The Integrated Marine Logistics dashboard monitors the movement of all vessels used by Pertamina to transport crude oil and all Pertamina products.
The Commercial & Trading Dashboard provides information on the availability of fuel stocks to the terminal, depot, and gas station levels, including the sales process and customer service. Thus, if there is a potential fuel shortage in Pertamina's assets, it can be handled quickly, including detecting anomalous transactions for subsidized products at gas stations. The dashboard is also equipped with MyPertamina information. It focuses on monitoring digital payment services at petrol stations and information, from Pertamina Contact Center 135, an integrated Call Center service, and 135 operational interaction services via telephone, video calls, social media, and Pertamina Delivery Service.
PICC also has a Smart Meeting Room for video conferencing, Interactive TV, Interactive Voice Command, and Smart Glass that can be used by the holding and subholding top management to decide the company's strategic policies.**
