Go Collaborative, Elnusa and PHM Produce Combo Unit Technology Innovation for Well Intervention

Jakarta, December 23, 2021 - PT Elnusa Tbk (Elnusa) conducts a Go Collaborative with PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM) in developing Combo Unit technology to support well intervention activities in swamp areas which include the Tambora, Tunu, and Handil fields. This combo unit is the first unit made by the nation's children to be implemented in Indonesia.

This combo unit is a combination of slickline and electricline units into one. The slickline unit is a unit in the well intervention to ensure well access, while the electricline unit has the ability to conduct electric current.

Moreover, the Combo Unit is also very likely to be replicated in every well of the Mahakam WK and other fields in the Pertamina Group Upstream Sub Holding.

General Manager of PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam, Agus Amperianto said "The collaboration through this Combo Unit technology has proven to be able to intensify the number of personnel involved in operating activities, streamline the equipment needed for operations, able speed up work time, and reduce operating costs. Complete efficiency".

"In the future, this unit combo will become a very important part for the continuation of operations optimization in Mahakam, related to the development of minimalist oil platforms in the Offshore (Offshore Minimalist Platform) field," Agus explained.

Director of Operations as well as Director of Business Development of Elnusa, Rony Hartanto expressed his gratitude for the trust that has been entrusted by PHM. "This is the work of the nation's children, the result of a real collaboration between Elnusa and PHM who are members of the Pertamina Upstream Subholding, who are very concerned about the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) in their work.
