Go Digital, PIS Fleet Directorate Strengthens Business Strategy Through Fleet Management Dashboard, which is Centralized and Accessible from Mobile Phone
Jakarta, November 25, 2021 - Pertamina International Shipping (PIS), as Subholding Integrated Marine Logistics (SH IML), continues to optimize business strategies in realizing the company's achievements. PIS has implemented various programs. It includes Fleet Management Dashboard and Fleet Digital Control Room, which can monitor ship management flexibly. Therefore, it can streamline the company's business operations, especially in the PIS Fleet Directorate.
In line with business expansion, PIS has the vision to become the leading Shipping Company in Asia while driving economic growth in Indonesia. With the spirit to innovate and operational costs (transportation costs) efficiency, PIS built an application that can monitor Shipmanagement anytime and anywhere. PIS applied the Fleet Management Dashboard, a series of ship management and operations owned by Pertamina for all regions of Indonesia. The application can track Shipmanagement's progress in real time.
In its mission to become a trusted and reliable maritime partner and maintain safe and sustainable operations, PIS builds a Fleet Digital Control Room to monitor owned vessels and manages applications that can be monitored via mobile phones. The management of complex owned vessels requires digital and data-based tools that can simplify and integrate every aspect of ship management, complete with data analysis to facilitate decision making. Fleet Digital Control Room is needed when holding a conference by presenting data so that management can quickly make accurate decisions.
PIS Fleet Director, I Putu Puja Astawa said, "Through applications built by the PIS Fleet Directorate that can be monitored through the Fleet Digital Control Room. It includes monitoring ship certificates, monitoring Pertamina Safety Approval (PSA), Vetting Plus, Ship Inspection Report Program (SIRE), Shipmanagement Update, Ship Performance, and Docking Project monitoring. This application works in real-time, so when progress is stuck, it can be monitored quickly".
PIS, through the Fleet Directorate, innovates the digitalization of business processes by managing 95 ships. It includes ShipManager Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Dashboard Management, and Smart Ship Research. The digitalization process in Owned Ships management has begun by cooperating with DNV, a world-class classification company, a part of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS), to implement the ShipManager application module.
"With the ShipManager application from DNV, the PIS Fleet Directorate implements the process of planning, maintenance activities, QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment System), and Crewing System. ShipManager DNV plays a significant role in the effectiveness of ship management for operational cost-efficiency. It includes ship maintenance and, most importantly, to answer digital transformation challenges that are useful for increasing the Tanker Management and Self Assessment (TMSA) Score," said Puja.
In addition, the Fleet Management Dashboard provides information on business processes in the Fleet Directorate of PT PIS. This dashboard displays Financial Reports, Docking Project Management, Vessel Performance Reports, Vessel Certificate Monitoring, Vetting Reports, monitoring and procurement process reports in goods and services contracts for ship needs, especially umbrella contracts. The Fleet Management Dashboard is also directly connected to the VCOMS application that can access the CCTV cameras onboard. Therefore, activities can be viewed and recorded from the office (shore base). "With the digital transformation through the Fleet Management Dashboard program, we can receive updates on performance reports and monitor activities on board via mobile phones," said Puja.
