Jakarta, December 7, 2021 – PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Sub Holding Commercial & Trading PT Pertamina (Persero), which runs Pertamina's downstream business chain, and its subsidiaries continue to expand their quality fuel and lubricant products. They also expanded bunkering, cargo, and operational services of Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) and fuel terminals in foreign countries.
In the aviation business line, Pertamina Patra Niaga has served the aviation fuel needs for airlines in 47 countries, with 128 locations in the world. The success of Pertamina's avtur products in the international market has been carried out through a strategic partnership scheme since 2014.
"Pertamina's aviation fuel services have been recognized and can compete in the international market. Through the strategic partnership scheme the Contracting Company Delivering Company or Conco Delco model, Pertamina's avtur product distribution is not only centered in Southeast Asia but also in Europe to the Middle East," said Acting Corporate Secretary of Patra Niaga of Pertamina, Irto Ginting.
Pertamina Patra Niaga also strengthens the sales of the nation's made lubricant products. Namely, Fastron, Enduro, and Prima XP in the world market. Through its subsidiary, PT Pertamina Lubricants, Pertamina's lubricant product exports have penetrated 14 countries, with the largest markets in Asia, Africa, and Australia. Pertamina lubricant distributors are also spread across 12 countries in Asia, two in South Africa and Nigeria, as well as one distributor and two sub-distributors in Australia.
The branding of Pertamina's fuel and lubricant products globally continues to be intensified. One of them is through the company's participation in International Motorsports Events. The Pertamax Turbo (RON 98) and Enduro Mandalika Limited Series products have been relied on by the racers in the World Superbike (WSBK) event at the Mandalika Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, and also at the MotoGP event in 2022.
"In addition to going global by opening up opportunities for penetration of Pertamina's quality products to a wider foreign market, Pertamina's participation in this international-scale racing event also provides a multiplier effect for the regional and national economy, especially for the tourism sector," added Irto.
Furthermore, as an effort to go global, Irto said, Pertamina Patra Niaga also runs the cargo and bunker trading business in the Asia Pacific region through its subsidiary Pertamina International Marketing & Distribution Pte. Ltd. (PIMD), founded in Singapore 2019. PIMD expands its downstream business to regional and international areas. PIMD has also collaborated with strategic partners. Namely, the international trading company Freepoint Commodities, in the collaboration project for the renovation of the Pulau Sambu Fuel Terminal and the development of a low-sulfur fuel bunker.
"Through PIMD, Pertamina Patra Niaga expands the export of its superior products to the global market, especially environmentally friendly and low-emission fuel products for international and regional customers and partners. There are three supply points in Tanjung Pelepas, Malaysia, then the port of Singapore, and Sambu Island in the Riau Archipelago. The volume of banker trading served reaches 1.5 million MT, and for cargo trading, it reaches 2.4 million MT," he explained.
Meanwhile, through its subsidiary Pertamina International Timor SA (PITSA), Pertamina Patra Niaga has also carried out operational activities for distributing Pertamax (RON 92), diesel, and avtur fuel in the Timor Leste region since 2015. In addition to operating a fuel terminal in the Dili area, PITSA also participates in operating the Bebora PITSA gas station, Comoro Aircraft Filling Depot (DPPU), and LPG Bulk Filling Station (SPBE) in Tibar.**
