Go Sustainable, Subholding Integrated Marine Logistics Wins Award for Its Commitment to Implement CSR Program

Jakarta, November 11, 2021 – PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) as Subholding Integrated Marine Logistics, through PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK), as a Subsidiary engaged in Shipping, Maritime Services, and Logistics, continues its commitment to implement Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL). It has been rewarded won various awards to grow and develop in achieving the Company's vision.

In managing CSR activities, CAR refers to the seven score subject approaches in ISO 26000. It includes community and environmental involvement and development. It is by developing a sustainable independent community (Developing Self-Sustained Society) in all operational activities. It is evidenced in business activities that maintain social, environmental, and economic harmonization following applicable laws and regulations. PTK is also fully committed to the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Pertamina Group, which is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in responding to the challenges of sustainable growth.

The implementation of TJSL CAR focuses on six areas, namely the Environment, Health, Infrastructure, Education, Empowerment, and Community Social Sector. Some of these TJSL programs have currently been implemented, and some are still running. It includes ongoing programs and Covid-19 assistance. Amid the Covid-19 Pandemic, all TJSL PTK programs are carried out while still paying attention to health protocols.

In 2021, PTK won the Subsidiary Special Award in Prominent Shipping, Maritime, and Logistics Service Company on Supporting TJSL on Environment Pilar. In this TJSL & CSR Award, PTK is committed to following the two pillars of the SDGs. Namely, the Economic and Environmental Pillars. To support sustainable economic growth during the Pandemic, PTK conducts community assistance in the Coastal Women's Empowerment Program for fostered communities in the Balikpapan, Jambi, Makassar, and Medan areas. PTK also conducted a Waste Bank Revitalization program in Jambi, Medan, and Makassar to support Pertamina Group's commitment to the environment.

With the vision of "To become an integrated Maritime Services Company on a global scale by 2026", PTK is committed to realizing the Company's Vision that continues to grow and develop. PTK is also committed to carrying out business activities oriented to HSE aspects, Operational Reliability, and prioritizing Customer Satisfaction in Shipping Services for the Energy sector, Provision of Maritime Services, and Provision of Logistics Services.

PIS as Subholding Integrated Marine Logistics fully supports the planning and implementation of CSR activities within the company. It is evidenced in the company's contribution by carrying out several social activities even during the pandemic by continuing to pay attention to health protocols, such as Hazmat Assistance and Medical Masks for Covid-19 Response to Orphanages in the DKI Jakarta area, Donations and Prayers with Orphans, PIS Movement Care for the Disasters of West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara (NTB & NTT), and the participation of PIS in welcoming Eid al-Adha by assisting with several sacrificial animals.

In addition, PIS, as Go Sustainable company won various awards such as "Automation Tanker Monitoring" in the External category for Innovation, "Strategic Innovative Corporate Leader" for the Corporate category. Namely, the Chief Executive Officer of PT PIS and the category "Resilient and Transformative Companies and Institutions in Supporting Energy Business Actors during a Pandemic."
