March 29, 2021 - PT Pertamina (Persero) ensures its handling efforts for affected residents of the Tank-301 incident in the Balongan Refinery area will get the best medical service.
Now, Pertamina initiated Healthcare Post for affected refugees of the Balongan incident located in Sports Center (GOR) and Bumi Patra Futsal Field. The medical team sent is a combined team from Medical RUI VI Balongan, Pertamina Balongan Hospital, and RSP Klayan Cirebon. The arrangement is for one doctor per shift and four nurses that standby 24 hours. One ambulance unit is also alerted.
Six people were referenced to Pertamina Pusat Hospital (RSPP) to receive additional care from all affected residents. Now, patients are being handled by the best specialist doctor in RSPP. The patients' families will also be given an exclusive place during their family member's treatment.
"One important step is to ensure the handling of affected incident patients run smoothly. RSPP is one of the best Referential Hospital for burns that Pertamina owns," said Senior Vice President of Corporate Communication & Investor Relations of Pertamina, Agus Suprijanto.
Director of RSPP, Dr Syamsul Bahri, said that RSPP has a special team to handle burns, who will manage medical care according to standard operating procedures.
To ensure the handling of other residents' medical needs, the RSPP team has also intensively communicated and coordinated with two Pertamina Hospital in Cirebon and Balongan.
"We are ensuring the best care for patients and the right handling during critical times after the incident. Therefore, it will not be as severe before being referenced to RSPP," explained Syamsul.**
