Hoax, Pertamina's 40th Celebration Gift

Jakarta, May 19, 2021 - PT Pertamina (Persero) has confirmed that the information circulating regarding gifts for the '40th anniversary celebration' is not true (Hoax).

Acting Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications & Investor Relations of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, said that Pertamina's anniversary took place in December, so the gifts to celebrate the anniversary were a digital fraud mode.

"The lottery on behalf of Pertamina whether delivered via Whatsapp, SMS, email, or social media is not true. We urge the public to be careful of all forms of hoaxes and fraud on behalf of Pertamina," said Fajriyah.

We have conveyed a cautionary warning regarding fraud and fake news through the website https://www.pertamina.com/id/waspada-penipuan, as well as conveying it on Pertamina's social media channels and other anti-hoax information sites.

Fajriyah emphasized that all Pertamina's promotional programs are delivered through the company's official communication channels, namely the website www.pertamina.com, social media accounts @pertamina, and the official application MyPertamina or Pertamina Call Center 135.

"All promotional programs and prizes from Pertamina are free of charge. Once again be careful if someone asks for money as a condition to win a prize," added Fajriyah.

The promotion program, continued Fajriyah, is Pertamina's effort to improve customer service and loyalty. Therefore everything is carried out in an open, transparent, and accountable manner.
