Jakarta, March 31, 2024 - Ramadan is a blessed month and a moment of resurgence for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to expand their markets. Not wanting to be left behind, PT Pertamina (Persero) has involved its fostered MSMEs in various Ramadan bazaars.
In Jakarta last week, Pertamina partnered with MSMEs for three Ramadan bazaar events at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (EMR) office, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs office, and Pertamina's office.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that these bazaars during this special moment are one of Pertamina's efforts to introduce MSME products and expand the market. Pertamina remains committed to strengthening competitiveness and providing tangible benefits to MSME actors.
"We support local economic growth and collaborate with MSMEs across Indonesia. Through activities like this, we hope MSMEs are more driven to provide the best quality products for their consumers," said Fadjar.
At the Sobat Bazaar at the Ministry of EMR, eight Pertamina MSMEs enthusiastically introduced various products such as Bagore, Batino's Pastry, Alika Batik, Prabu by Yangke, Sambal Nyonya, Arcisu by Monalisa Collection, Riya Butik, and Shokha.
The event held from March 26 to 28, 2024, was bustling with visitors. "We hope this bazaar can serve as a means to encourage MSME products to compete globally and contribute to economic growth," said the Secretary General of EMR, Dadan Kusdiana, in his opening speech at the bazaar.
Apart from the Ministry of EMR, Pertamina MSMEs held exhibitions at the Grha Pertamina building. Various culinary, fashion, and religious supplies were presented to fulfill the needs of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, with this exhibition serving as a platform to enhance sales.
One MSME from Indramayu, Bagore, with packaged fried onion products, admitted that since participating in Pertamina's exhibitions, they have gained many new customers. Many consumers repeat orders by purchasing online, both through marketplaces and WhatsApp.
"The fried onions we produce come from the Sumenep onion variety with good quality raw materials and processed with many flavor variants, such as original, shrimp paste, salted squid, kaffir lime, tiny shrimp, and anchovies. So far, we have been selling online, but since Pertamina invited us to exhibitions, our customers have increased significantly, and our marketing has become wider," said Sunadi, the owner of Bagore.
In addition to offline exhibitions, Pertamina provides convenient shopping access through smexpo.pertamina.com. Through this marketplace, people can easily explore MSME products, and special Eid packages are also available.
Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuously promoting programs that directly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement. All these efforts align with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) implementation across all Pertamina's business lines and operations.**
