Jakarta, June 29, 2023 - During the Iduladha 1444 H holiday and collective leave, PT PGN Tbk, as Pertamina’s Gas Subholding, ensures natural gas’ availability and supply to the public in a safe condition. PGN, with all its Subsidiaries/Affiliates, maintains pipeline and non-pipeline natural gas security, along with all supporting infrastructure.
Faris Aziz, Director of Sales and Operations of PGN, explained that the current natural gas supply is sufficient to fulfill PGN customers’ needs, including households, small customers/MSMEs, power plants, industries & commercial sectors, and transportation in various regions.
PGN's current gas supply can fulfill up to 867 BBTUD demand. The operational activities in oil transportation are also sufficient, capable of transporting approximately 184,503 BOPD.
"PGN guarantees distribution reliability to support household customers' activities in celebrating Iduladha and remains prepared to serve the public in case of any issues related to natural gas utilization. PGN also ensures gas distribution reliability for industrial operations, PLN power plants, and transportation," said Faris (28/06/2023).
The number of household customers represents the majority of PGN's customers, amounting to 837,783 household connections (SR) spread across 73 cities/districts in 17 provinces. In total, gas absorption in the household sector amounts to approximately 11 BBTUD.
As for industrial customers, PGN currently serves 2,925 customers, along with 1,926 small customers/MSMEs.
The PGN Group utilizes supplies from multiple sources and active infrastructure, including 25,850 km of gas pipeline networks, 13 CNG stations, 4 MRUs, and 3 LNG terminals. The natural gas distribution by the PGN Group to customers is currently in a safe condition in Sumatera, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Eastern Indonesia.
"PGN also has a 24-hour standby team and continuously coordinates with Pertamina as the Oil and Gas Holding regarding supply security and gas distribution. On the other hand, we remain vigilant to address potential disruptions," explained Faris.
The complaint hotline regarding PGN Group's natural gas has been integrated with Pertamina. The 135 Call Center is active 24/7 to be contacted in case the public requires assistance. PGN ensures the performance so that all gas needs are fulfilled, and natural gas distribution operates normally and safely during this Iduladha long holiday.
Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), stated that Pertamina would continue to develop natural gas infrastructure to expand its customer reach.
