Jakarta, June 21, 2021 – Pertamina's assistance to micro and small enterprises (MSEs) during the Covid-19 pandemic crisis has been maximized. In addition to the coaching program, Pertamina, through the MSE Funding Program, continues to help ease the heavy burden on the fostered partners' loan obligations through direct assistance.
Acting SVP Corporate Communications & Investor Relations of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fajriyah Usman explained, Pertamina has done several initiatives to assist until its business starts to rise and repay its loan.
Another effort includes loan restructuring, utilizing rescheduling installments, or changing loan terms (reconditioning). It is expected that more than 80% of the Fostered Partners will return smoothly within 1 to 2 years. Therefore many partners are saved, and collectability is running smoothly again.
Some of the fostered partners who have experienced these benefits are Mostopha. The owner of the Batik Kalimataya business, which is based on Jalan Rebab 25, Serengan, Surakarta, Central Java, felt helped by the direct monitoring and assistance program. "Direct assistance is helpful for the difficulties that foster partners like us are currently facing," he said.
In addition, there is also Asri Pamungkas. The owner of the Gias Collections business produces various products made from shibori, shibori clothes, and art decoupage. The business located in Pereng Wetan RT 55 Argorejo Sedayu, Bantul, was briefly affected by the pandemic. "Thanks to the guidance, socialization, and assistance from Pertamina. I was able to get through that difficult time and bounce back," she said optimistically.
According to Fajriyah, through the MSE Funding Program, Pertamina wants to provide energy that can move the economy--energy that fuels and energy that produce sustainable growth.
Pertamina also supports SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) point 8 achievements through implementing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance)-based programs in all of its operational areas. It is part of the environmental and social responsibility to realize economic benefits in the community.**
