Jakarta, April 29, 2022 – PT Pertamina's commitment to implementing an integrated Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) has resulted in appreciation and awards from Investor Magazine under the Berita Satu Media Holding in collaboration with PT Bumi Global Karbon (BGK).
Pertamina won three awards in the 2022 Corporate Emissions Transparency.
The three awards achieved by Pertamina include the Gold Plus Degree Emission Calculation Transparency Category, Green Elite Degree Emission Reduction Transparency Category, and Green Degree Emission Reduction Transparency Category.
Pertamina is considered as the best in ESG implementation and demonstrates transparency in compliance with reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Achmad Deni Daruri, founder of the Bumi Global Karbon Foundation (BGK), said that there were several basic criteria for the assessment carried out at this event.
“The assessment criteria are taken from the the Company's Sustainability Report (SR) and the company's emission calculations consist of scope 1, 2, 3 and if there is an emission reduction calculation obtained by the company. BGK also looks at the Assurance Report in the SR that guarantees the calculation," Achmad Deni said.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, expressed her appreciation and gratitude for the 2022 Corporate Emissions award.
"This award is an appreciation of Pertamina to actively contribute to supporting the Indonesian government in reducing greenhouse gas emissions up to 29 percent by 2030," Fajriyah said.
Fajriyah added that as an energy company that has been active in the global arena, Pertamina reaffirmed its commitment to implementing integrated Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) aspects.
"Pertamina has played an important role in leading the energy transition in Indonesia by prioritizing the development of new and renewable energy and reducing emissions to address environmental problems," Fajriyah added.
Pertamina supports the Indonesian Government in the G-20 Presidency, which has chosen the energy transition as one of its priorities.
"Hopefully, this award will be a milestone for Pertamina to continue working for Indonesia," Fajriyah said.
News Director of Berita Satu Media Holding Primus Dorimulu, said that this award is an appreciation for Pertamina, which has implemented compliance in the aspects of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) through compliance transparency in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
