INACRAFT 2022 Exhibition Officially Ended, Pertamina MSMEs Achieve Transactions of Up to 4 Billion

Jakarta, March 29, 2022 – The International Handicraft Trade Fair (INACRAFT) 2022 officially ends on Sunday (27/3). 24 MSME partners fostered by PT Pertamina (Persero) earned transactions of up to 4 billion during the 2022 INACRAFT event.

On the last day of the INACRAFT 2022 event, Pertamina's 24 MSME booths received a positive response and were visited by many potential buyers both from domestic and abroad. "The total transactions at Pertamina's MSME booth reached 4 billion, an increase of up to 107% compared to the last INACRAFT event in 2019. Apart from the sales during the exhibition, it is hoped there are sustained orders from new customers from INACRAFT and MSME businesses will continue to move forward," said the VP of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fajriyah Usman.

24 of Pertamina's MSMEs come from various cities in Indonesia, including Jakarta, Banten, Bandung, Bantul, Sleman, Kediri, Surabaya, Denpasar, East Lombok, Situbondo, Banjarmasin, and Balikpapan with business types of fashion, craft, and cosmetics. The 24 MSMEs were selected through a long process. After curating 103 MSMEs who registered with the criteria of product quality and level that must be in line with the global market needs.

Teak root handicraft products are one of the most visited by many visitors. They even had to add the exhibition stock, and they also received orders to be marketed in Denmark.

She did not expect to get orders with a very significant amount. Even the table and chair products that were just on display were immediately sold out in minutes.

“We got an order of 10,000 pcs of wooden jars. Insya Allah, we can provide the goods. It is like a dream," said Innani, owner of the Akar Dewa Jati Situbondo Gallery.

Innani has been a Pertamina Fostered Partner under the Situbondo Rumah BUMN since 2019. The products are home decorations, chairs, tables, spoons, forks, cups, chopsticks, and glasses, all made from teak roots with various unique designs but still have utility. For it to be durable and safe for the body, the product is painted using natural materials made from beeswax. Not only is food safe, but it is also food grade. If the material is swallowed while consuming food, it will not pose a health hazard.

Meanwhile, Made Diksa Wimona, an MSME that sells self-produced cosmetics such as Balinese scrubs, lotions, masks, natural soaps, bath salts, and massage creams, is touched and very happy to be part of the MSMEs that fill Pertamina's booth at INACRAFT 2022. She did not expect that their products were highly sought after by visitors and had been delivered three times from Bali during this event. A day before the event closing, the items were sold out. "On the last day, I just distributed brochures and business cards while explaining the products sold," she said.

At the INACRAFT 2022 event, she got a lot of new customers, both retail customers, distributors, and customers who made use of them. Some retail customers have started ordering products for resale.

The involvement of the fostered MSMEs in the INACRAFT event is one of the SOEs' support in achieving the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). Especially in point 8 related to the provision of employment and economic growth as well as the implementation of ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) based programs in all Pertamina's operational areas.
