Semarang, April 18, 2023 - Ahead of the increasing homecoming traffic during the Eid al-Fitr holiday in 2023, Pertamina ensures fuel availability, especially for Central Java and Yogyakarta regions, is sufficient. To ensure readiness and preparedness for the holiday travel period, Erry Widiastono, the Director of Logistics and Infrastructure of PT Pertamina (Persero), visited the Integrated Terminal in Semarang on Monday (17/04).
During his visit to the Pengapon Fuel Terminal in Semarang, Erry stated that the fuel supply is sufficient, "As of today, the fuel stock for the Eid al-Fitr holiday is in a sufficient condition, with an average stock of 25 days," said Erry.
He explained that to fulfill the fuel demand during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2023 Task Force (Satgas RAFI 2023) period, PT Pertamina optimizes fuel production at its refineries or increases refinery production above the average. Production optimization from these refineries is expected to fulfill the fuel demand during the holiday travel.
"We will ensure the supply. Therefore, there will be no additional quota for fuel imports by optimizing the refinery capacity," explained Erry.
In addition to refinery optimization, Erry added that Pertamina's upstream sector also increases oil and gas production and maintain distribution through maritime vessels. "We increase the buffer stock, as well as the tonnage of our vessels," said Erry.
He also explained that the current stock optimization is done by directly distributing the fuel stock to end terminals/depots.
"The stock is directly delivered to end terminals/depots, no longer stored in the main terminal. This follows our mitigation efforts, so if there is an increase in fluctuation beyond the calculation, it will be easier to fulfill the demand by adding it to one depot only," conveyed Erry.
Pertamina's Emergency Response Services
In addition to ensuring the fuel and LPG supply resilience, in facing the 2023 homecoming period, Pertamina in Central Java and Yogyakarta regions has prepared additional services to help travelers access energy.
During the Satgas RAFI 2023 period, Pertamina has prepared a service scenario for fuel distribution. The services provided by Pertamina includes 12 Pertashop points, one modular petrol station, nine Regular petrol stations, four mobile emergency units, and 91 motorcyclists ready to distribute fuel to travelers on toll and non-toll roads in Central Java and Yogyakarta regions.
For travelers in these regions who run out of fuel, they can contact Pertamina's call center at 135, in which the call center will inquire about the traveler's location and assign a representative to arrive at the customer's location within 15-20 minutes.
