Incredible! The Public’s Enthusiasm at the Riders Parade for the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2024 is Remarkable
Lombok, September 25, 2024 – Ahead of the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2024, Pertamina, in collaboration with the Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) and the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA), held the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia Riders Parade in Mataram City. Like mega stars, the riders participating in the parade were greeted with by thousands of fans lining the parade route. The parade started from Sangkareang Field and ended at Teras Udayana in Lombok on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
The parade was attended by MotoGP riders from the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team, including Fabio Di Giannantonio and Marco Bezzecchi. Other prominent riders such as Jorge Martin, Enea Bastianini, Alex Rins, Jack Miller, Raul Fernandez, Luca Marini, and Mario Aji participated, while Marc Marquez joined midway through the parade.
The Mataram residents’ enthusiasm astonished the riders, especially considering how much the locals love the world's most prestigious motorcycle racing event. Aji Anom Purwasakti, the Executive General Manager of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Jatimbalinus Region, expressed his gratitude to the Provincial Government of West Nusa Tenggara and the local Forkopimda (Regional Leadership Coordination Forum) for their full support in organizing the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2024.
"I witnessed the Lombok community’s incredible enthusiasm in following the Riders Parade for the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2024. It was all possible thanks to the full support from the local government and its apparatus. Hopefully, this event will bring positive benefits to the community, particularly in promoting sports tourism and boosting the local economy in Lombok," said Aji.
In line with Aji's sentiments, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, the VP of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, separately stated that the events surrounding the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2024 would further enhance tourism in Lombok and provide a multiplier effect for the local community.

The Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2024 will take place from September 27-29, 2024. To enliven this annual international event, Pertamina will host various exciting activities for visitors, including the Pertamina Energizing You Festival, which will feature live music concerts and an exhibition of top-tier local MSME products. Pertamina will also set up a booth selling official merchandise for the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2024.
