June 26, 2024 - The Indonesian Embassy in Algiers is participating in the prestigious international exhibition, Foire Internationale d’Alger 2024, with full support from Pertamina. The event aims to showcase Indonesia's cultural richness, business potential, and tourism attractions to the Algerian public.
The Wonderful Indonesia booth will be present from June 24 to June 29, 2024, at the SAFEX exhibition center in Algiers. Visitors will be treated to an exhibition of products from nine outstanding MSMEs mentored by Pertamina as part of the support for MSMEs to go global, batik-making demonstrations, visa services, and various travel package offers to Bali and other exotic destinations in Indonesia. Additionally, visitors can participate in quizzes with attractive prizes and experience interactive virtual reality.
The opening ceremony on June 24, 2024, was inaugurated by the Indonesian Ambassador of Algeria, Chalief Akbar, along with representatives from Pertamina. The event was also attended by foreign dignitaries, journalists, travel influencers, businesspeople, and other invitees.
"Indonesia's participation in Foire Internationale d’Alger 2024 is a strategic step to strengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and Algeria, to promote Indonesia's vast potential in various sectors," said the Indonesian Ambassador of Algeria, Chalief Akbar.
"We hope that through this exhibition, the Algerian public will know more about Indonesia's culture, products, and tourist destinations, ultimately fostering closer cooperation. Pertamina's support for mentored MSMEs at this exhibition also demonstrates Indonesia's commitment to promoting local products in the global market," he added.
"This is a golden opportunity for our MSMEs to showcase the quality and uniqueness of their products to the world," Chalief explained.
The Indonesian Embassy in Algiers, as the official representative of Indonesia in Algeria, has the responsibility to promote Indonesia's interests in tourism, trade, and investment. Meanwhile, Pertamina, in addition to being known as a national oil and gas company, plays an important role in supporting Indonesian MSMEs through its Mentored MSMEs program. This program helps MSMEs enhance their capacity and competitiveness in the global market as part of Indonesia's economic diplomacy efforts.

Vice President of Corporate Communication Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, added that Pertamina actively participates in exhibitions, domestically and internationally.
