Inspecting Integrated Terminal Makassar, Pertamina Directors Ensure Infrastructure Readiness & Reliability of Fuel and LPG Supply

Makassar, April 7, 2022 - Pertamina ensures sufficient fuel and LPG stocks during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. It was conveyed by the Business Supporting Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Dedi Sunardi, during a readiness inspection of the Integrated Terminal (IT) infrastructure in Makassar, South Sulawesi, accompanied by the Regional Marketing Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Mars Ega Legowo and the EGM of Pertamina Sulawesi Region, Agus Dwi Jatmoko.

After conducting an inspection, Dedi said that all IT infrastructures in Makassar are in optimal condition, and the stock of fuel & LPG for daily consumption is excellent. "We ensure that the fuel supply to petrol stations is sufficient for all products, especially Pertalite and Biosolar products. We do 10-15% build-up of fuel & LPG stock. We are working closely with all stakeholders, including the regional government and the local police, to secure the fuel distribution and take action if abuse of authority is found in the fuel distribution," he explained.

Director of Business Planning and Development of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga said Pertamina is experienced in distributing fuel and LPG during Ramadan Idul Fitri as well as Christmas and New Year for many years. Therefore, Pertamina will form a Task Force (Satgas) from April 11 to May 10, 2022, which involves holding and subholding Pertamina and related agencies, including MEMR, Ministry of Transportation, BPH Migas, Police, Jasa Marga, TNI, and PT Telkom Indonesia.

"Since March 14, 2022, Pertamina has formed an Internal Task Force Team to anticipate the scarcity of diesel fuel and the increase in the price of Pertamax. The stock of fuel and LPG is currently sufficient. All infrastructure is on standby, which includes 114 fuel Terminals, 23 LPG Terminals, more than 7,400 SPBU, 667 SPBE, 4,972 LPG Agents, and 68 DPPU," he explained.

In addition, Pertamina also provides additional fuel services on potential routes, including toll roads, tourist routes, and main traffic lanes, in the form of Standby Petrol Stations, Standby LPG Agents & Outlets, Pertamina Standby Kiosk, Motorists, Stand-by Tank Cars, and health facilities.

Agus DJ, Executive General Manager of Pertamina for the Sulawesi Region, has reviewed the stock as well as fuel and LPG distribution facilities at the Makassar Integrated Terminal. Pertamina also anticipates a series of crowded points in Ramadan as well as concentration points for the homecoming and travel routes.

"Alhamdulillah, we have checked the fuel stock. Everything is running normally and ready to provide the best for the people of South Sulawesi and Sulawesi in general. There are several anticipations, such as adding several things, for instance, 10 Pouch petrol stations, namely in Luwu Raya (3 locations), Mamuju, Bulukumba, Gorontalo (2 locations), Tomohon, and Bantaeng. Moreover, we are also alerting Pertamina Delivery Service and all distribution agencies for both fuel and LPG,"

Responding to the widespread issue of increasing Pertalite consumption due to the rising prices, his party responded casually. And from his fuel consumption data, Pertalite and Pertamax consumption rose but not significantly. “The condition in Sulawesi is still relatively conducive. There are still many who are loyal to using Pertamax because they know its benefits for the machines. For comparison, the average Pertamax fuel consumption in January-March was 508-kilo liters (KL), while after the April 1 Pertamax price increase, consumption has increased to 510 KL. Then for Pertalite, the average daily consumption from January to March is 6600 KL, while after April 1 until now it is 6700 KL," said Agus.

Pertamina's Stock Resilience as of April 6 for Gasoil Nationally is more than 1.4 million kiloliters, for Sulawesi is more than 85,500-kiloliters. For Gasoline, the National stock resilience is at more than 1.2 million kiloliters and for Sulawesi is more than 83,000-kiloliters. Sulawesi's Biosolar Stock is at 84,867 KL, and Pertalite's stock in Sulawesi is currently at 64,465 KL. "With 10% public consumption of the existing stock, our stock resilience is still capable of facing the surge in public consumption," said Agus

Pertamina has a Pertamina 135 Call Center service. If any inconvenience is found regarding Pertamina's products usage, the public can immediately report it to the Call Center.

"We urge the public to be comfortable and safe when traveling during Ramadan and homecoming for Eid al-Fitr to use quality fuel according to the engine specifications of each vehicle," stated Agus.**
