Makassar, April 2, 2022 – To ensure sufficient fuel supply for the public before Ramadhan, Emma Sri Martini, Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Finance, and Eduward Adolof Kawi, Director of Land Engineering and Infrastructure of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, accompanied by Agus Dwi Jatmoko, Executive GM of PT Pertamina Patra Sulawesi Regional, conducted inspections at several gas stations around Makassar and Maros, South Sulawesi, on Saturday (2/4).
During the inspection, the Pertamina Group Directors ensured that the fuel supply in Makassar City and Maros Regency was safe and sufficient to anticipate the high demand for BBM in the community. Emma said that PT Pertamina (Persero), through Pertamina Patra Niaga, had increased fuel and gas supply to the Distribution Agency ahead of Ramadan. Pertamina has also prepared a build-up stock of 15% for fuel and 10% for LPG and added additional services ahead of Eid by forming a special Task Force team since March 2022.
In addition, to ensure the availability of JBT (Certain Types of Fuel) or Subsidized Solar fuel, PT Pertamina (Persero) Finance Director Emma Sri Martini also said Pertamina Patra Niaga had gradually added supplies throughout the region. "The last two weeks were the recovery condition. In some areas, solar queues have started to decrease. In Makassar as the Sulawesi Hub, there is no longer any queue," she said.
Emma emphasized that the additional supply is expected to be maximally aligned with the observation in the field. So, her party continues to coordinate with the Provincial Government, Regional Government, and the apparatus so that the use of subsidized Solar can be more targeted.
"In addition to cooperating with the Provincial Government, Regional Government, and officials to carry out supervision, Pertamina Patra Niaga also invites the public to monitor the use of targeted fuel. If the community finds any abuse in the distribution of subsidized diesel fuel, it can be reported to the authorities. For example, trucks with wheels above six, oil palm trucks, coal trucks, which according to the rules are prohibited from using subsidized diesel," Emma added.
As is known, according to the Decree of the Head of BPH Migas No. 04/PJBT of 2020 regarding controlling the distribution of certain types of fuel has been regulated 60 liters per day for private four-wheeled vehicles, maximum of 80 liters per day for four-wheeled public transportation for people/goods, and a maximum of 200 liters per day for six-wheeled public transportation for people/goods.
Emma also appealed to consumers to use fuel according to its designation and wisely choose fuel according to vehicle engine specifications.
During the visit, the Pertamina Board of Directors interacted with consumers and appreciated the loyal choice of using Quality Fuels such as the Dex Series and Pertamax Series and gave a message to operators and several gas station owners who are at the forefront in marketing Pertamina's products.
