Bojonegoro, November 1, 2021 – Synergy between SOEs in the construction of the Jambaran Tiung Biru (JTB) Gas Unitization Field Development Project owned by PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC) Zone 12 Regional East Indonesia Subholding Upstream Pertamina is expected to remain solid even though it is carried out amid the Covid-19 pandemic that has been going on for almost two years.
President Director of PEPC, Awang Lazuardi conveyed the challenges faced by this project during the pandemic. However, PEPC continues to develop innovations and consolidate to actualize the JTB project's goals in contributing to energy fulfillment.
“Of course we continue to strive so that these important achievements continue to be improved, even though we are in a quite challenging situation,” said Awang during the visit of Deputy Minister of SOE I, Pahala Mansury to the JTB project, Bojonegoro, East Java on Friday (29/10).
During this visit, Pahala Mansury was also accompanied by the Board of Commissioners of PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT Pertamina Hulu Energi, CEO of Subholding Upstream Pertamina, General Manager of Gas JTB Project, and President Director of Rekind.
On this occasion, the Deputy Minister of SOE I and his entourage visited the JTB gas project field and received detailed explanations of various aspects regarding the development of this project. Health and safety protocols are implemented strictly following the existing HSSE rules during the visit to the JTB gas project.
"Currently, the realization of the EPCC project in total has reached 94.71% with several activities such as engineering reaching the 100% target," explained Awang. The JTB project itself is one of the National Strategic Projects (PSN) in the energy sector set by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo in Presidential Decree No. 109 of 2020.
The JTB project, which is expected to become one of the largest gas producers in Indonesia, has a gas production capacity of 192 MMSCFD (Million Standard Cubic Feet per Day). Wherein 100 MMSCFD has been prepared to meet the gas needs of PT PLN's power plants.
“With the JTB project's Capex reaching USD 1.5 billion, in the future, gas supply from JTB will supply gas availability in Java Island that is quite large so that it can increase the economic progress of the community through the business perspective both regionally and nationally,” concluded Awang.**
