Jakarta, July 19, 2022 – PT Pertamina Patra Niaga is committed to being responsible at all costs for injured victims' treatment and providing compensation for tank truck accident victims in Cibubur, Monday (18/7).
"We continue to do our best to oversee the victims' handling process. Pertamina Patra Niaga will take full responsibility. Once again, we apologize for this incident and express our deepest condolences to the victim and the victim's family," said President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Alfian Nasution, present in person to meet the victim's family at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta around at 20.00 WIB, as well as the injured victim treated at Permata Cibubur Hospital, at around 21.30 WIB.
Dirgakkum of the National Police Korlantas, Police Brigadier General Aan Suhanan, in his statement, explained that ten casualties were being identified, and five injured. Currently, nine are at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, and one victim is at Permata Cibubur Hospital. Meanwhile, five injured victims are being treated at Permata Cibubur Hospital.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Collaborating with the police, Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to make maximum efforts in carrying out security and transfer procedures at the scene of the incident.
“Currently, the fuel tank truck at the incident's scene is being cooled to prevent the appearance of the spark and ensure the location is in a safe condition. Heavy equipment is already at the scene, and we will immediately carry out security procedures and transfer the tanker to the scene. We ask for your prayers so that the victims handling process and the scene handling can run well tonight," added Alfian.**
