Jakarta, September 9, 2020 – Pertamina collaborates with Alfamart to develop the Bright Store business in petrol stations outside of Java. The cooperation with Alfamart was inaugurated by the signing of the MoU between Pertamina and Alfamart, which was signed by the Director of Logistic and Infrastructure, Mulyono, Director of Merchandising of Alfamart, Harryanto Susanto, and Director of Corporate Affairs, Solihin.
Director of Logistic and Infrastructure of PT Pertamina (Persero), Mulyono, said that the change of consumer's character in the millennial era now has brought a good business opportunity for Non-Fuel Retail (NFR) business. The business potential can be seen from the costumer's behavior through the 7000 petrol station ecosystem network, which Pertamina has, with very high traffic.
"Pertamina's Bright Store is now spread in 195 location. Bright Store is hoped to be a part of the petrol stations channel throughout Indonesia as an effort to fulfill the petrol station consumer's needs when they are stopover to rest and continue their travel. Stop in & Refresh," said Mulyono.
He ensures that there is a need for collaboration with minimarkets, which already has a wide network so that the NFR business development can develop. Pertamina collaborates with Alfamart in the development of the Bright Store business in petrol stations through the mechanism of Co-Branding Bright Store by Alfamart/Alfamidi outside of the Java.
"As of today, there are 200 Alfamart stores in Pertamina's petrol station area. In the future, it will transform into Bright by Alfamart/Alfamidi. It applies to all petrol stations, both COCO (Pertamina owned) and DODO (Private Owned)," he said.
Meanwhile, the Director of Corporate Affairs of Alfamart, Solihin, added that this cooperation could include promotional collaboration between the two parties, supporting MSMEs and Pertamina's Private Label products, as well as sharing in investment.
"One thing that is no less interesting in this cooperation is for private petrol stations (DODO) entrepreneurs, a special franchise fee policy is imposed," he added.
With the collaboration of the strength of the Pertamina petrol station network with the operational reliability of Alfamart in Indonesia, it will provide benefits for both companies and can increase customer satisfaction, concluded Mulyono.**
