Lombok, January 29, 2022 - PT Pertamina (Persero) with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia and the Provincial Government of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) successfully held a business meeting between MSME actors and the hotel industry. The event washeld for 2 (two) days, from January 27 to 28, 2022, at the Merumatta Hotel Senggigi Lombok, managed to record a total transaction of up to IDR 1.74 billion.
Deputy for Industry & Investment of Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia, Fadjar Hutomo said, this achievement was obtained from the synergy of all stakeholders both in the NTB Province itself and nationally. "So that the strengthening of the tourism supply chain and the creative economy from upstream to downstream between MSMEs and large-scale industries. It is expected to provide added value and increase competitiveness, to meet the expectations of tourists as consumers," he said.
According to Anggara Hayun Anujuprana, Director of Industrial Management of Indonesia's Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, the business meeting to strengthen the supply chain of the Mandalika DPSP area involved 93 MSMEs, which were divided into 45 MSMEs on the first day and the remaining 43 on the second day.
Meanwhile, from the hotel side, 27 hotel industries participated in the event on the first day and made transactions of more than IDR 1.2 billion. On the second day, 23 hotels participated, with a total transaction of around IDR 507 million.
"We hope that at the end of this event, it can produce a transaction and cooperation that we can term as a 'holy marriage', where we can keep supply and demand sustainable for a long time. We also hope that it continues after the Mandalika MotoGP event has been completed," he said.
One of the MSME participants in the business meeting, Sayuk Wibawati, admitted that she was happy to participate in the activity. According to her, a business meeting like that can increase the opportunity to be widely known and get orders in large quantities.
“Sure enough, there are hotels that have ordered as many as 1500 of these cakes. And the hotel ensures that it will reorder again when the Mandalika MotoGP event takes place. Because there are more guests, and this is good as a promotional event for my products," said the owner of CV Safir Indo Raya, who is also Pertamina's fostered partner.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fajriyah Usman, added that six of the 93 MSMEs who attended the business meeting were Pertamina's fostered partners. They were selected to participate in the event after a strict curation process. As a result, they have also succeeded in attracting dozens of hotels and resorts and can cooperate and use their products.
According to Fajriyah, through the MSE Funding Program, Pertamina wants to provide energy that can move the economy--energy that fuels and energy that produces sustainable growth. Pertamina also continues to encourageeach partner to become upgraded and Go Global.
Pertamina, which is now 64 years old, also continues to support the achievement of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) through ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance)-based programs implementation in all its operational areas.
