Cilacap, December 21, 2023 – Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif visited the Pertamina Cilacap Refinery in Central Java on Thursday, December 21, 2023. The visit was to review Pertamina's readiness to meet the demand for fuel supply during the Christmas and New Year holidays in 2024 (Nataru).
During this visit, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources engaged in a dialogue with Pertamina's management and workers and personally inspected the Cilacap Refinery readiness before Nataru. After that, Minister of ESDM Arifin Tasrif also visited the petrol station (SPBU) 44.532.17 in Jalan Tentara Pelajar, Jeruk Legi District, Cilacap City.
During the visit, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources was accompanied by the President Director of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI), Taufik Adityawarman, and the President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Riva Siahaan.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif appreciates Pertamina's efforts in meeting the fuel and LPG needs of the public, especially during the current holiday season.
"From the presentation earlier, (fuel stock supply) is sufficient. There is indeed a surge, but it is manageable, and logistics movements are also intensified to avoid scarcity issues. Hopefully, this can proceed smoothly," Arifin said.
He further stated that Pertamina continues to strive to improve the service quality for the people. For him, these efforts for improvement and perfection are a process that must continue.
"Ensure there is no scarcity. Ensure a smooth supply," he emphasized.
Arifin Tasrif also welcomed Pertamina's initiative to provide support services during the holiday season, such as modular petrol stations (SPBU) and motorcycle attendants. It includes enhancing the skills of field personnel so that services can be faster and safer.
"Pray for everything to be safe and smooth," Arifin Tasrif added.
Vice President of Corporate Communication at PT Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso, affirmed that all subsidiaries and operational units are ready to serve the public during the Christmas and the 2024 New Year celebrations.
"To ensure the availability and distribution of energy, we monitor the entire process from upstream, processing to downstream petrol stations digitally through PIEDCC so that the public can enjoy the holidays with peace of mind and comfort," Fadjar said.
