Jakarta, July 14, 2020 - Pertamina continues to realize its commitment to optimize the Level of Domestic Components (TKDN) through its synergies with SOE's Shipyard Companies that are members of the KIM (Industrial Manufacturing Cluster) in the construction and maintenance Pertamina-owned vessels.
Following up on previously established synergy, Pertamina Group signed an agreement on potential cooperation with PT Dok and Shipping Kodja Bahari (Persero), PT Dok and Shipping Surabaya (Persero), and PT Industri Kapal Indonesia (Persero).
The signing was carried out by President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, along with the President Director of PT Dok and Shipping Kodja Bahari (Persero), Wahyu Suparyono, PT Dok and Shipping Surabaya (Persero), Bambang Soendjaswono and President Director of PT Industri Kapal Indonesia (Persero), Edy Widarto in Jakarta, Tuesday 14 July 2020.
Deputy Minister of SOE I Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Chairman of the Manufacturing Industry Cluster, who is also the President Director of PT Barata Indonesia (Persero), Fajar Harry Sampurno, as well as other BUMN directors, were present during the signing.
Deputy Minister of SOE I Budi Gunadi Sadikin said this agreement was an implementation following the direction of the President to prioritize the synergy between SOEs to increase the TKDN to ensure national economic development occurs in the country.
According to Budi, Pertamina should optimize this Cooperation Potential Agreement, so while the price and quality obtained remain appropriate, it can encourage economic turnover in the country. Budi hopes, amid the COVID-19, Pertamina and other fellows SOEs can help each other so that future cooperation can be even better.
"We want to ensure that the economy runs so that there is a domestic economic cycle," Budi said.
Pertamina's President Director, Nicke Widyawati, explained that Pertamina always paid attention to the Level of Domestic Components (TKDN) in every business and project management. The company seeks to keep the national contribution optimally, including in the procurement of Pertamina-owned vessels.
"In the next 5 years, Pertamina will procure 48 ships in which as many as 15 ships will be procured domestically. This can be used as a first step to the development of domestic shipyards so that it can strengthen domestic business, "said Nicke.
Nicke said that the cooperation with the Shipping SOEs also aims to increase Pertamina's productivity through the accuracy and speed in handling maintenance, repair, and replacement of ship components and other supporting facilities.
"Later, it will be more flexible so that docking can be done at the nearest location. It will make the maintenance of Pertamina ships more efficient, "Nicke added.
Nicke added, Pertamina was committed to overseeing the TKDN from the planning stage through the monitoring and implementation in all sub holdings.
"Since the beginning, the design has accommodated the TKDN, in which it involves the cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and BKPM," concluded Nicke. **
