Pertamina Advocates "Performance and Green" Concept at IIMS 2024

Jakarta, February 15, 2024 – Pertamina, leading national energy company in energy transition, presents the "Performance and Green – Energizing the Nation" concept at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2024.

At Indonesia's largest automotive event, Pertamina, with its Subholding, introduces quality products and services focusing on the journey towards green energy by opening booths during the 10-day duration of IIMS 2024.

Fadjar Djoko Santoso, VP of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), explains that this booth represents what Pertamina is doing and will do in the future. Currently, Pertamina is maintaining and improving fossil energy products' quality to support national energy resilience. On the other hand, Pertamina also continues to promote energy transition by developing new renewable energies. It is in line with efforts to support the government's target of achieving Net Zero Emission by 2060.

One of Pertamina's showcased innovations is the Green Energy Station. "This is our real step towards green energy. Petrol stations with green logos indicate solar panels utilization, creating energy self-sufficiency for petrol stations without relying on conventional electricity," says Fadjar.

Fadjar adds that Pertamina also introduces charging and swapping stations to support the energy transition, especially for the electric vehicle ecosystem. He states that this is tangible evidence of the company's commitment to continuously optimize products, services, innovation support, and provide environmentally friendly energy alternatives.

"We hope to provide more choices to the public in accessing sustainable energy," explains Fadjar.

At IIMS 2024, Pertamina also brings several of its Subholding companies to introduce innovations and green products carried by each of Pertamina's subsidiaries.

Rachmat Hutama, Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Gas Subholding of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN), emphasizes PGN's role in supporting the energy transition by bringing gas as its flagship energy.

"The procurement of Gasku products as gas fuel for transportation, especially in Blue Bird taxis, demonstrates our commitment to the environment, efficiency, and the economy," says Rachmat.

On the other hand, Pertamina New & Renewable Energy Subholding through Rika Gresia Wahyudi, Corporate Communications & Stakeholders Management, discusses Pertamina's initiatives in building the electric vehicle ecosystem.

"Pertamina NRE has built collaborations with various parties, as well as commercial projects such as hydrogen refueling stations at Daan Mogot petrol stations. This is part of our efforts to provide infrastructure and renewable energy," explains Rika.

Not only focusing on energy transition and renewable energy, but Pertamina also remains committed to ensuring conventional energy resilience and developing world-class products. It was conveyed by Fachrizal Imaduddin, Manager Non-PSO Fuel Sales of Pertamina Commercial & Trading Subholding PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, highlighting Pertamax Turbo’s excellence as a flagship product supporting world championships.

"Pertamax Turbo competes internationally, and our partnership with Sean Gelael and Valley Dani as brand ambassadors for Pertamax Turbo strengthens the global image of our product," Fachrizal reveals.

In addition to introducing green energy products and innovations, visitors to the Pertamina booth at IIMS 2024 also have the opportunity to experience the sensation of riding GP motorcycles through the Pertamina Enduro branded simulator. This simulation provides a direct experience of riding GP motorcycles similar to those used by the Pertamina Enduro team.
