Jakarta, April 23, 2024 - PT Pertamina (Persero) with the Indonesian National Police (Polri) has forged a synergy in publicity as a source of information to educate the public through news channels and social media, to build public trust regarding public information.
The Head of the Public Relations Division of Polri, Inspector General of Police Dr. Sandi Nugroho, S.I.K., S.H., M.Hum., stated that as the frontline in managing and delivering information to the public, the Polri’s Public Relations Division strives to adapt to the current trends of the millennial generation through information digitalization enhancement and through the Precision Public Relations Portal application, which serves as a large platform for all applications and online platforms owned.
The Polri’s Public Relations Division has various features, including one used to enhance the police personnel’s competence in public relations called e-Learning, in addition to the contemporary social media feature involving Polri members and the wider community as citizen journalists, which adds to the sources of information that can be presented to the public objectively and reliably.
"As part of Polri's publication transformation to adapt to current trends in disseminating information, we are also collaborating with Pertamina and other stakeholders to synergize the information data utilization for publication and education, as well as utilizing human resources to enhance the public relations’ competence for Polri personnel in general and Polri public relations personnel in particular," explained Inspector General Dr. Sandi Nugroho, S.I.K., S.H., M.Hum.
At the same event, Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero) Fadjar Djoko Santoso stated that Polri’s Public Relations is actively fulfilling the community's need for real-time information.
"Polri’s Public Relations has made significant contributions to Pertamina in disseminating information through local, national, and social media, including various positive actions to assist Pertamina in managing energy, especially the targeted subsidized fuel and LPG," said Fadjar.
Fadjar mentioned that Pertamina and Polri are expected to continue to synergize in publicity and education and become trendsetters in information for millennials and the general public. "Especially in overseeing subsidized fuel and LPG according to their intended purposes, as well as sustainable energy distribution to the public," concluded Fadjar.
