Pertamina and the National Police Discover Illegal Subsidized Fuel Warehouse in Pati

November 8, 2023 - Pertamina and the Law Enforcement Authorities have once again discovered an Illegal Fuel Warehouse operation, this time, located in the Pati Regency, Central Java. During the raid on Monday, October 6, 2023, a warehouse containing subsidized diesel fuel suspected of being hoarded and misused was found.

"Pertamina, in collaboration with the National Police's Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim Mabes Polri), had previously conducted mapping and investigation before finally carrying out the raid," said VP of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso.

The raid uncovered several pieces of evidence, including three Transporter tanker trucks, each with a capacity of 8 KL, two pump machines, two pick-up trucks, and one minibus modified with a 1KL capacity tank.

"From these findings, we have handed over the matter to the police for further action, and all evidence has been submitted to the Pati Police Resort," Fadjar explained.

Pertamina and the Law Enforcement Authorities will continue collaborating to expose and address subsidized fuel misuse. "We appreciate the police for continuously working with us to ensure subsidized fuel’s proper distribution and prevent its misuse, ensuring it reaches those in need," Fadjar concluded.
