Pertamina Asks the public not to panic, BBM and LPG Stock are Sufficient

Jakarta, December 23, 2021 – PT Pertamina (Persero) asks the public to remain calm, use fuel and LPG as needed, and not make excessive purchases. The energy supply is safe and sufficient.

Regarding the message that has spread widely in the community about the appeal to fill motorbikes or cars from December 29, 2021, to January 7, 2022, we emphasize that this information is a hoax, not true, and misleading. "We hope that people will not panic buying. We believe that all Pertamina employees will continue to prioritize the public interest and can jointly maintain conduciveness and smooth operations," said Fajriyah Usman, Vice President of Corporate Communications of Pertamina in Jakarta (23/12).

According to Fajriyah, currently, Pertamina has a Christmas and New Year's Task Force and is equipped with a PICC (Pertamina Integrated Command Center). It conducts 24-hour monitoring and activities to secure the availability and distribution of fuel and LPG, including coordinating with the local government and the authorities. It is also carried out to mitigate distribution security related to the Pertamina workers union action.

The 2021 Nataru Task Force involved the Pertamina Directors and the related Sub Holding Directors. It includes all General Managers of all regions, who had held regular meetings to ensure the readiness and security of the distribution of fuel and LPG, starting from the readiness of the fleet, building up stock in all regions, monitoring distribution to readiness, and safety of the workers on duty.

"Pertamina also has an RAE (Regular, Alternative and Emergency) distribution pattern to anticipate emergency conditions. Therefore, Pertamina continues to ensure the availability of fuel and LPG in all regions," she added.

In anticipation of Nataru, continued Fajriyah, Pertamina has prepared 114 Fuel terminals, 23 LPG terminals, 68 Aircraft Filling Depots (DPPU), more than 7,400 Petrol stations, as well as the entire LPG distribution chain from LPG Filling Stations (SPBBE) to agents and LPG bases, both subsidized and non-subsidized, meet the energy needs of the community.

In addition, Pertamina has prepared additional services and facilities, such as 1,077 standby petrol stations on regular routes, 63 standby petrol stations on toll roads, 218 motorists or Pertamina Delivery Service (PDS) fleets, 144 fuel bag petrol station points, 34 units of Pertashop or modular petrol stations, and more than 48 thousand agents and LPG Siaga bases. Services at 68 DPPU will also continue to be on standby to meet all airlines' Avtur needs.

"With this readiness, we hope that people can enjoy the Christmas and New Year holidays in peace with their families," she concluded.**
