Medan, March 19, 2024 - PT Pertamina (Persero) ensures the readiness of facilities and infrastructure (sarfas), energy supply, and distribution in Medan, North Sumatra. On Monday (18/3), the Pertamina Group Board of Directors observed several operational areas in Medan in preparation for the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force (Satgas RAFI) Pertamina, especially to face the Eid holiday.
This Safari Ramadan visit will be held in several cities in Indonesia. This time, the Safari Ramadan to the Medan region was carried out by the Vice President Director of Pertamina, Wiko Migantoro, Director of Strategy, Portfolio, and Business Development of Pertamina, A. Salyadi Saputra, President Director of Pertamina Gas Negara, Arief Setiawan Handoko, and President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Riva Siahaan.
Vice President Director Wiko Migantoro revealed that the facilities in North Sumatra are ready. In addition to the supply and distribution of fuel, LPG, and Avtur, Pertamina also ensures the reliability of other facilities, including supply distribution support for industries and work safety aspects implementation.
"We also enhance monitoring of community needs so that if critical issues arise, they can be quickly addressed," he explained.
At the Kualanamu Pertamina Aviation Fuel Terminal, facilities for distributing Avtur to aircraft are also in sufficient condition to serve the Kualanamu International Airport. This airport serves as a supply point for Avtur for several other airports in North Sumatra, such as Polonia, Pinangsori, Silangit, and Binaka.
During the visit, the Board of Directors also inaugurated the Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) Demo Room at the PGN Medan Office, Glugur, North Sumatra. The HSSE Demo Room serves as a supporting facility to enhance HSSE implementation in the work environment. Moreover, PGN, as a Gas Subholding, manages natural gas business activities with a high level of risk in terms of work safety.
The HSSE Demo Room is held to ensure that HSSE aspects are implemented from top management levels to workers and Pertamina's business partners for the safe operation of the business as a whole.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, explained that the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr moments are important for the community. Following the high demand of the community, both for cooking and transportation, Pertamina prepares all its regions to fulfill these needs.
"Pertamina, as an energy provider, has a major role in maintaining this energy supply so that comfort during the Eid al-Fitr holiday can be preserved," Fadjar explained.
Fadjar also urged the community to use non-subsidized fuel and LPG, thus contributing to ensuring the distribution of fuel and LPG reaches the right target.
