Jakarta, July 16, 2021 – After constructing 2 Covid-19 Emergency Modular Hospitals in the yard of Patra Comfort Cempaka Putih hotel and also in Simprug, Pertamina build another Covid-19 Emergency Modular Hospital with a total capacity of around 300 beds, in Pertamina’s land that is located in Tanjung Duren with an area of approximately 4,2 Ha as of July this year.
Anticipating the number of patients, including critical patients, from the 300 available facilities, Tanjung Duren Modular Hospital allocates 128 beds for treatment, 70 beds in the emergency department and ICU emergency rooms, as well as 104 special beds for the ICU building.
The construction of this Modular Hospital is carried out by one of Pertamina’s subsidiaries namely PT Patra Jasa and will be an extension of the Pelni Hospital, which is also a subsidiary of Pertamedika-IHC. The construction began on July 9, 2021, and is targeted to be done in August 2021.
To ensure good construction, the Head of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia Covid Task Force Sufmi Dasco had work visit with the Business Support Director of Pertamina Dedi Sunardi, President Director of Pertamina Bina Medika (Pertamedika Dr. dr Fathema Djan Rachmat, as well as Acting President Director of Patra Jasa Litta Ariesca (16/7).
The head of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia Covid Task Force Sufmi Dasco gave his appreciation to Pertamina Group for the construction of Tanjung Duren Covid-19 Modular Hospital, which will be completed in a short time.
“We appreciate it and I think in the near future with a fast work, the facilities can already be used gradually. We see the design and the progress reports from day to day are well organized,” said Sufmi.
Business Support Director of Pertamina Dedi Sunardi said that Pertamina is committed to supporting the government in accelerating the handling of Covid-19, this time by adding the availability of beds for Covid-19 patients. Pertamina also appreciates the attention and support of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia in the efforts of overcoming Covid-19 in Indonesia.
“On this construction, Pertamina continues to coordinate with Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, as well as doing a synergize between Pertamina Group and other SOEs. It is hoped to be done gradually in the next 2 weeks,” said Dedi Sunardi, Business Support Director of Pertamina.
President Director of Pertamedika Dr. dr. Fathema Djan Rachmat added that aside from Tanjung Duren Modular Hospital, Pertamedika also manages Covid-19 Emergency Hospital in Asrama Haji Pondok Gede. Furthermore, several locations in Bandung are also being studied for Covid-19 emergency facilities.
“We will synergize with several other SOEs such as Kimia Farma, Telkom, and Pindad to provide Covid-19 treatment facilities,” explained dr. Fathema.
Tanjung Duren Modular Hospital will be equipped with negative pressure and HEPA filter, so the air coming out of the hospital remains safe for the environment. This hospital will be equipped with operating rooms, laboratories, radiology (CT Scan and X-Ray), pharmacy installation, nutrition installation, sterilization room, laundry room, and funeral room. Similar to Simprug Modular Hospital, Tanjung Duren Modular Hospital will also be equipped with hemodialysis installation for Covid-19 patients who need dialysis, and a delivery room for Covid-19 positive pregnant women.
Acting President Director of Patra Jasa, Litta Ariesca added that the site design of this Tanjung Diren Modular Hospital is being built by maximizing land potential and the possibility for future development. In addition, modular system was chosen because it uses a pre-fabricated building concept that is mass-produced and sent to the site and installed, which helps accelerate the construction. The modular system is made of durable materials, tested, and certified to withstand earthquakes.
“Until now, the construction is running according to the target, similar with how the other 2 Modular Hospitals that have been built, Tanjung Duren Modular Hospital is also built according to WHO standards,” said Litta.
The members of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia Covid Task Force Bambang Haryadi, Andre Rosiade, Muchamad Nabil Haroen, and Emanuel Melkindes also attended the visit.**
