Jakarta, September 1, 2020 – As a business entity which has received the assignment from the government to distribute Premium type fuel, PT Pertamina (Persero) is fully committed to carrying out the assignment as best as possible. Pertamina is distributing and providing Premium at 4,700 outlets/gas stations throughout Indonesia, in addition to other types of fuel.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, explained that until now Pertamina still provides and distributes Premium or RON 88 fuel, which is an assignment from the government. As long as the regulations apply, Pertamina will continue to carry out assignments as well as possible.
"Based on an assignment from the government, Pertamina is currently distributing and providing Premium in Indonesia," said Fajriyah Usman, Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina in Jakarta (31/9).
Apart from Premium, Pertamina also provides other types of fuel, which include Perta Series (Pertalite, Pertamax, and Pertamax Turbo) and Dex Series (Pertamina Dex and Dexlite).
"Pertamina also still provides Pertalite and other fuel at gas stations in Indonesia. Therefore, people do not need to worry and continue to use fuel as needed," she added.
The assignment for the distribution of Premium type of fuel is contained in Presidential Regulation Nomor 43 Tahun 2018 and the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree Nomor 1851 K / 15 / MEM / 2018.
However, to support the global agenda to reduce levels of motor vehicle exhaust emissions and in line with the Minister of Environment Regulation No. 20 Tahun 2017, Pertamina continues to educate consumers consistently and encourage the use of fuel with better quality and more environmentally friendly.
"According to the agreement between the world and the government, every country strives to reduce carbon emissions and reduce air pollution, one of which is by using higher quality and environmentally friendly fuel. We have felt since PSBB that there are blue skies and better air. Therefore, we will encourage people to use higher quality products," she said. **
