Indramayu, April 3, 2021 – PT Pertamina (Persero) continues the handling of residents affected by the T-301 Tank incident by distributing 10 thousand of packaged food per day to residents from 3 affected villages at the Evacuation Camps in the Bumi Patra Sports Center (GOR) & and Balongan Futsal Field.
In addition to packaged food, Pertamina Group has also provided logistic assistance for the affected residents. The logistic assistance includes mineral water, milk, biscuits, children’s food, groceries, fruits, honey, and vitamins.
Senior Vice President of Corporate Communication & Investor Relations of Pertamina, said that Pertamina will continue to pay attention to the affected residents of the T-301 Tank incident at the Balongan Refinery. The packaged food is prepared to be consumed by people in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Groceries that are ready to be processed were also provided, both to residents in the evacuation camp and residents who had returned homes.
“Collaborating with the village officials, we continue to distribute logistic assistance including packaged food, to fulfill people’s needs after the Balongan tank incident. This is Pertamina’s commitment and the company’s social and environmental responsibility,” Agus stated.
For the convenience and maintenance of residents' health in the evacuation camp, Pertamina also distributed logistic assistance in the form of daily equipment, medicines, and hygiene kit. Moreover, to ensure the Covid 19 health protocol, Pertamina also distributed masks and hand sanitizer. Assistance for public kitchen operations has also been provided.
“We have also handed over 35 cylinders of 12 Kg Bright Gas LPG for cooking at the evacuation camp,” said Agus.
Apart from distributing logistic assistance and food, Pertamina has also provided an adequate medical team with doctors and nurses on standby, 24-hour ambulance, and involved 150 volunteers Bazma, Tagana, PMI, and wives of Balongan Refinery employees (PWP).**
