Pertamina Eco Run 2021: Multiple Run Period, Thousands of Participants Run a Total Distance of 39 Million KM

Jakarta, December 5, 2021 - 7 days after the start of the 10 kilometers (km) Challenges Multiple Run Pertamina Eco Run 2021, as many as 3000 runners have run and have reached a total accumulated distance of 39 million km with an average participant running of 13 km.

According to the provisions, each Runner must go through the Multiple Run challenge by running individually during the 27 November - 9 December 2021 period. By using the Pertamina Eco Run application, the distance and running time of the participants are recorded virtually which will be accumulated automatically and can be seen on the leaderboard at the application.

VP of Corporate Communications of Pertamina Fajriyah Usman explained, Pertamina Eco Run is a way for this SOE, which has reached the age of 64, to invite the public to stay healthy and maintain immunity, which at the same time do a campaign for environmental care and earth sustainability, and invites all participants to pay attention about reducing emissions and the importance of reducing carbon footprint.

"This year, Pertamina Eco Run's theme is Run for The Earth because by participating in this event, participants are supporting Pertamina's CSR program which focuses on reducing emissions, reducing carbon footprint, and maintaining sustainability of the earth," she said.

During the Multiple Run Period, Runners can also take part in various digital activities, from a photo competition for the most interesting running poses to an Instagram filter game competition with millions of rupiah as the prize.

The photo competition requires participants to upload their best photos while running on the Instagram social media application with the requirements to follow the @pertamina account, mention, and include these hashtags #PertaminaEcoRun2021Photo, #PertaminaEcoRun, #RunForTheEarth, #Runnergizer, and #EnergizingYou.

Meanwhile, the filter game competition can be downloaded on the Instagram application, participants are required to achieve the highest score and compete with other participants in games that require concentration. After getting the score, participants are required to upload a video of the score on the Instagram social media application by including the same hashtags as the photo competition.

After the participants complete the 10K running challenge in the Multiple Run Challenges individually, continued Fajriyah, they will run the 5K Real-Time Run at the same time but at their respective places, on Sunday, December 12, 2021, from 06.00 to 09.00 WIB.

Fajriyah added that because the concept is running virtually, anyone can join this activity and run in their respective places. There are several benefits for participants who take part in this activity, which are free registration fees, get jerseys, masks, and medals if they successfully complete the entire series of the Eco Run activities.
