Jakarta, August 27, 2024 – PT Pertamina (Persero) has conducted educational and promotional activities for the Anugerah Jurnalistik Pertamina (AJP/Pertamina Journalism Award) 2024 in the Central Java Territory following AJP’s national inauguration. The Central Java AJP 2024 education event was attended by print and electronic media personnel, as well as photojournalists.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that during this educational session, Pertamina encouraged media collaboration in supporting energy acceleration, following the AJP 2024 theme, "Energizing the Acceleration."
“The media plays a crucial role in public education. Therefore, through the AJP 2024 education, media can produce works related to Pertamina's energy innovations, covering both business and non-business pillars,” said Fadjar.
Fadjar further explained that the Central Java territory is the pilot project for the first socialization outside the city. The AJP 2024 promotions will be extended to other cities, covering ten territories from Aceh to Papua.
Present at this event were the Manager of Media Communication PT Pertamina (Persero), Roberth MV Dumatubun, along with other speakers from Pertamina, including Vega Pita, the Manager of Corporate Communication and Relations of Pertamina International Shipping, Brasto Galih Nugroho, the Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga in Central Java, as well as other representatives from the Pertamina group, such as Pertamina Refinery Unit IV Cilacap and PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental.
During the AJP 2024 socialization, several innovative programs conducted by PT Pertamina Patra Niaga were presented, such as the QR Pertalite program, QR Biosolar, and subsidized LPG purchases using a National Identification Number (NIK).
Other highlighted programs include non-subsidized LPG utilization in various sectors, the MyPertamina app to support MotoGP, ticket purchases for Pelita Air Services, and Patra Jasa hotel bookings.
Pertamina also shared innovations from the Boyolali Fuel Terminal, such as a pilot project for auto-scheduling of fuel tanker drivers. The auto-scheduling program has successfully operated without any outstanding orders as of August 2024.
In the maritime sector, Pertamina International Shipping (PIS), as the Sub-holding of Integrated Marine Logistics (SH IML), plays a vital role as the virtual backbone supporting the smooth distribution of national energy. PIS vessels ensure timely, effective, and efficient energy distribution, supported by energy terminals and other port services to ensure energy supply and distribution across Indonesia.
AJP 2024 is a journalism competition held by Pertamina for the past 21 years. AJP 2024 is open to print, online, electronic, and photojournalists. To qualify, journalistic works must have been published in mass media between November 6, 2023, and October 31, 2024.
This year’s AJP features eight competition categories divided into two pillars: Business and Non-Business. The Business Pillar includes four categories: Written Works (Print and Online Media), Television Works, Radio Works, and Photo Essays. Similarly, the Non-Business Pillar comprises four categories: Written Works (Print and Online Media), Television Works, Radio Works, and Photo Essays.
