Jakarta, December 21, 2023 – Pertamina, through its Subholding Commercial & Trading, Pertamina Patra Niaga, has made several preparations to guarantee energy supply during the Christmas 2023 and New Year 2024 holidays on Java Island.
To ensure smooth fuel, LPG, and Avtur distribution during Christmas & New Year (Nataru), Pertamina has formed a Task Force (SATGAS) from December 15, 2023, to January 7, 2024.
Deny Djukardi, Executive General Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga for the Western Java Region, stated that the current stocks of fuel and LPG are in a sufficient condition, and all infrastructure has been put on alert.
In the Western Java region (JBB), Pertamina has prepared six Fuel Terminals, four LPG Terminals, over 1,578 petrol stations, 203 LPG Bulk Filling Station (PSO & NPSO), 1,906 LPG Agents (PSO & NPSO), and five DPPUs. Overall, the projected stock in the JBB Region anticipates a 1.3% increase in Gasoline fuel consumption, amounting to 26,953 KL from the average daily consumption of 26,612 KL, and a 6.6% decrease in Gasoil consumption, amounting to 10,761 KL from the average daily consumption of 11,526 KL. Meanwhile, LPG consumption is expected to increase by 1.5% or 7,649 MT from the daily average consumption of 7,543 MT.
Furthermore, Avtur sales at the four Airports in the regional area during the Nataru Task Force period of 2023 are also predicted to increase by about 3.1% from the normal sales, reaching 5,859 KL per day, a 2.9% increase from the Nataru Task Force in 2022.
In the Central Java region (JBT), Pertamina has prepared 1,042 petrol stations, over 1,345 Pertashops, 33 Fishers’ Public Fuel Station (SPBUN), 4 bunker fueling stations (SPBB), 119 LPG Filling and Transport Stations (SPPBE), 923 LPG agents PSO and NPSO, and more than 69,888 LPG depots & outlets to fulfill the community’s energy needs.

"As we approach the Christmas and New Year season, we ensure that our stocks are in sufficient condition. We continue to monitor the distribution process through the Pertamina Integrated Command Center (PICC) and digitalized petrol station dashboards," said Aji Anom.
The projection for increased energy consumption in the JBT region is approximately +8% for Gasoline (petrol), +7% for Gasoil (diesel), +1.3% for LPG, and +11% for Avtur.

During Nataru, it is estimated that Gasoline fuel consumption will increase by 2.69% from the daily average of 18,859 kiloliters. Meanwhile, Diesel consumption will decrease by 8.1% from the daily average of 8,865 kiloliters due to restrictions on truck travel during the Nataru period.
