Pertamina Fulfills Commitments of Production on New Year's Eve

Balikpapan, January 3, 2022 - Pertamina, through PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI) Balikpapan Unit, fulfills its commitment by continuing to operate on New Year's Eve. On New Year's Eve, the Balikpapan Unit KPI management also conducted a Management Walk Through (MWT) to production facilities.

The direct visit was carried out by the two top leaders of the Balikpapan KPI Unit, namely the General Manager (GM) and Senior Manager Operation & Manufacturing (SMOM), accompanied by the management team. It was conveyed by the Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR of the Balikpapan KPI Unit, Ely Chandra Warinangin. (Saturday, 01/01)

"On New Year's Eve last night, GM and SMOM were accompanied by a management team to conduct MWT to production facilities. Besides encouraging workers who still have to work on New Year's Eve, this MWT also aims to ensure Pertamina's commitment to operating on New Year's Eve," said Chandra.

According to Chandra, the Balikpapan refinery is currently operating normally. "Operations of the refinery are operating safely and well. Reliability, availability of raw oil raw materials, and delivery of fuel products to the delivery point can be carried out well," explained Chandra.

The Balikpapan Unit KPI also used New Year's Eve to reflect, showcasing the 2021 achievements, successes, and areas that still need to be improved in 2022.

In general, the achievement of the Balikpapan Unit's KPI performance in 2021 is good. "The Balikpapan KPI Unit in 2021 has succeeded in achieving the target to get Green Proper. The production of the KPI Unit Balikpapan SF-05 flagship product can exceed the target set by the company. It indicates the refinery's reliability and shows that the SF-05 product, environmentally friendly drilling mud, is well received by the market. And there are several other achievements," explained Chandra.

The smooth operation at the end of the year, of course, cannot be separated from the support of stakeholders. "We would like to thank the security forces, the sub-district government, and especially the ring I refinery community who on New Year's Eve last night together helped each other to maintain and ensure that no people played with fireworks going to the refinery. Hopefully, in 2022, a synergy between Pertamina and its stakeholders is increasing," Chandra concluded.**
