Bandung, November 12, 2021 – PT PGAS Solution, one of Pertamina Gas Subholding, has collaborated with the Directorate of Metrology of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia to work on Gas Meter Calibration and Recalibration. It is to support the commitment of the Oil and Gas Holding Pertamina Go Collaborative with various parties to increase its role as an economic locomotive national.
The cooperation was marked by the re-signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation that started in 2015 and ended in 2021. The re-signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was carried out by Aldiansyah Idham as Operations Director of PT PGAS Solution and Usman as Head of the Center for Testing Measuring, Dosing, Weighing, and Equipment for the Directorate of Metrology on Wednesday, (11/10/2021).
President Director of PGN Solution Erwin Simanjuntak said, "Calibration and re-calibration are important for PGN Solution. It is one of the activities that measures the amount of gas that we receive and sell to customers. PGN Solution ensures whether this meter is feasible and certified. We hope that this collaboration can be developed further. The larger the volume we can measure, the sooner we can support PGN's programs, both for gas and industrial purposes, and PGN Solution's collaboration with the Metrology Directorate is also tighter."
Tera is a test mark on a measuring instrument. Meanwhile, re-calibration is a periodic re-test of the UTTP and measures used in trade. Therefore, it ensures the accuracy of each measuring instrument and weighing instrument.
The gas meter installation belonging to the UTTP Testing Center is a reference for companies engaged in gas trading. Re-calibration is carried out for the calibration process. It is a series of activities to determine the conventional truth of the values indicated by measuring instruments and materials by comparing them with national and international measuring standards.
PGN Solution is committed to re-calibrating activities because it is one way to ensure that consumers get products according to the exchange rate and good condition. It is done to ensure thay the scales or measurements used are correct. Thus, consumers can get goods according to the size they should be and the exchange rate paid.
