Pertamina Go Sustainable During the Pandemic, Sales of COVID-19 Adaptive MSE Products Reached Nearly IDR 20 Billion

Jakarta, September 5, 2021 – PT Pertamina (Persero) support for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) during the COVID-19 pandemic continues. One of the support provided is by absorbing Fostered Partner's products related to the prevention of COVID-19. Until now, the total sales of Pertamina Fostered Covid-19 Adaptive MSE's products reached almost IDR 20 billion.

This value comes from the role of 176 MSEs of Pertamina Fostered Partners throughout Indonesia that support COVID-19 assistance with an average assistance value of IDR 3 billion. This form of support is realized through more than 10,000 Support Assistance Products that support efforts to prevent COVID-19, including multivitamins and herbal products, honey, soap, hand sanitizers, disinfectants, masks, and more.

The presentation was delivered by Vice President of CSR & SMEPP Management of Pertamina, Arya Dwi Paramita, in the Pertamina UMK On Air Webinar on Sonora radio last Saturday (30/8). According to Arya, apart from the fostered MSEs, there is also a significant role for MSEs included in the Rumah BUMN (RB) incubation program.

"Pertamina has also activated as many as 30 Rumah BUMN (RB), which oversee more than 9 thousand foster partners. Especially in the 420 MSEs of RB Partners that are adaptive to the COVID-19 outbreak with a sales value of more than IDR 16.8 billion. Therefore, the total sales of the Pertamina's fostered COVID-19 adaptive MSEs reached IDR 19.92 billion," he explained.

Pertamina has collected several products owned by Pertamina, especially products related to health and herbs. These products are imported directly from various regions in Indonesia.

Such as VCO products belonging to Bali Pure from Buleleng Bali and Farida Intan from Yogyakarta. Mellifera honey owned by Madu Center Indramayu, Yu Sugar palm sugar from Tasikmalaya, as well as pure red ginger products belonging to CV N&N International, Noni Spice House cardamom, organic rice from Prabu Batik and PT Kaltim Utama Mandiri Sukses from Jakarta and Bekasi.

Apart from being an effort to support health workers, the involvement of the MSEs in this program is also to help MSEs. Namely by absorbing the products of MSEs so that they can be adaptive during the pandemic. "Also as a medium to introduce original Indonesian products made by Pertamina with good properties for health," he concluded.

Through the MSE Funding Program, Pertamina wants to provide energy that can move the economy--energy that fuels and energy that produce sustainable growth.

Pertamina also supports SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) achievements through implementing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance)-based programs in all of its operational areas. It is part of the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) to realize economic benefits in the community.**
