Jakarta, December 13, 2021 - Pertamina Group continues to distribute food, equipment, and medical equipment to victims of the Mount Semeru eruption in the Lumajang Regency.
The food distributed includes 2 tons of rice, 0.5 tons of sugar, 400 pcs of cooking oil, 100 pcs of sweetened condensed milk, and 137 boxes of instant noodles and other supporting foods, such as sweetened condensed milk, baby food, bread, biscuits, and almost 1000 pcs of canned food. Pertamina also provided assistance with 50 Bright Gas cylinders and 20 stove units for cooking purposes in public kitchens for refugees.
In addition, to anticipate exposure to volcanic dust, Pertamina distributed 700 boxes of medical and KN 95 masks and 50 tubes of Oxycan. Pertamina also distributes up to 300 pcs of honey to maintain the stamina and immunity of the community.
Pertamina also distributes various equipment, including up to 900 pcs of blankets and sarongs, tarpaulins, mats, and almost 400 pcs of raincoats, as well as baby and feminine needs.
The assistance was directly handed over to the National Disaster Task Force for SOE in East Java. It then will be distributed to refugee posts that have been determined by the local government.
According to Fajriyah Usman, Pertamina Peduli immediately moved to distribute the assistance most needed by the Semeru eruption victims. All aid correlates to the basic needs in the first stage according to the direction of the task force team, mainly food ingredients, equipment, public kitchen needs, medicines and vitamins, cleaning tools, medical equipment, blankets, ready-to-eat food, raincoats, and baby and feminine needs. Pertamina will continue to distribute aid to victims at the refugee camps following the conditions on the ground.
