Jakarta, July 7, 2021 – PT Pertamina (Persero)'s contributions to the acceleration of COVID-19 handling are carried out not only by operating ISO Tank Trucks to facilitate the distribution of oxygens supply. Pertamina also provides oxygen assistance to 5 (five) hospitals in the DI Yogyakarta region. It includes Sardjito Hospital, PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital, Wates Hospital, Panti Rapih Hospital, Bethesda Hospital, with a volume of 13.1 tons (6/7). The assistance was carried out by the Subholding Gas subsidiary, PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas).
President Director of Sardjito Hospital, dr. Rukmono Siswishanto., Sp.OG(K)., M.Kes., M.P.H, expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by the Pertamina Group.
"We thank you for the oxygen distribution provided by the Pertamina Group. This assistance is helpful for us at Sardjito Hospital in handling Covid-19 patients," said dr. Rukmono.
Previously, Pertamina through Pertagas had also sent medical oxygen assistance to 4 (four) hospitals in Central Java on July 1, 2021, with a volume of 14.8 tons and six hospitals in DI Yogyakarta amounting to 15.1 tons on June 28.
In addition, in the DKI Jakarta area, Pertamina through, another Subholding Gas subsidiary, namely PT Gagas, has also handed over the assistance of 4 (four) oxygen storages with a cylinder capacity of 175 liters each to Kramat Jati Hospital, East Jakarta.
Acting Senior Vice President of Corporate Communication & Investor Relations, Fajriyah Usman, emphasized that the company will continue to strive for the best for the nation. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Pertamina Group has taken part in handling COVID-19 in the health sector, such as preparing Pertamina's Hospital as a COVID-19 Referral Hospital, building a Modular Hospital, providing Personal Safety Equipment (PPE), facilities, and hygiene facilities, health center assistance, healthy food, and others.
