Pertamina Guarantees Subsidized Solar Availability in West Kalimantan, Distribution Arrangements Refer to Provisions

Pontianak, April 10, 2022 - Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan, Sub Holding Commercial & Trading, is a business entity assigned by the government to distribute fuel, guarantee a sufficient stock, and ensure fuel distribution runs optimally. It is done for all types of fuel, especially subsidized diesel fuel.

Area Manager of Communication Relations for Regional Kalimantan, Susanto Satria, explained that the subsidized diesel availability and distribution for the West Kalimantan region, including Pontianak City, was under the quota set by BPH Migas. Pertamina has even added supply to several petrol stations to meet the community's needs.

"Pertamina continues to distribute subsidized diesel fuel to petrol stations in Pontianak City every day according to the quota that has been set, and there is no reduction. At the 6478118 petrol station, an additional supply of 22% has been made from the previous average," Satria added.

Several truck drivers rallied, demanding the removal of purchase restriction in Pontianak. Satria explained that Pertamina implements the rules regarding the amount of diesel fuel for each vehicle based on the BPH Migas decision. This rule is implemented so subsidized Solar can be distributed to the right and entitled vehicles.

Satria continued that Pertamina would continue to monitor the entire distribution process from the fuel terminal to consumers to ensure that petrol stations are always available for fuel. Especially for subsidized solar, Pertamina will focus on services in logistics and routes where users are entitled to enjoy them.

For the distribution of subsidized diesel, Pertamina refers to Presidential Regulation no. 191 of 2014. Meanwhile, the amount for filling subsidized diesel fuel follows BPH oil and gas regulations SK 04/P3JBT/BPH Migas/BPH/2020 that a maximum of eight liters for six-wheeled fleets, a maximum of 60 liters for four-wheeled vehicles, and a maximum of 200 liters for six-wheels and above vehicles.

To ensure the public understands who the entitled subsidized solar, Pertamina with stakeholders and the government, through BPH Migas, will improve education and socialization regarding the regulations of the subsidized Solar distribution.

"Solar subsidies are following their designation. Therefore, subsidized Solar users will be right on target, and people will be wiser in using fuel according to the specifications of their vehicles. Mining industry players, plantations, must use non-subsidized fuel," Satria concluded.

Pertamina Patra Niaga will continue to cooperate with the community, government, and all related parties in supervising Solar subsidies so that they are right on target. If there are indications of subsidized Solar misuse, the public can report directly to the authorities. If the fault lies with the petrol station, Pertamina will not hesitate to take action against the petrol station.
