Purwokerto, April 20, 2022 - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Central Java Region (JBT) has prepared and optimized fuel and LPG availability during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr (RAFI) 1443 H, especially in the Purwokerto, Cilacap, and surrounding areas.
Comm, Rail & CSR Area Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga Central Java Region, Brasto Galih Nugroho, said that the increasing fuel and LPG consumption trend on average have increased.
In the Purwokerto area, the projected increase in gasoline fuel is 20%, from the daily average of 519 KL to 624 KL. Gasoil fuel is predicted to increase by 1.6% from the daily average of 211 KL to 215 KL. Meanwhile, LPG consumption is predicted to increase by 3% from the daily average of 177 MT to 182 MT.
In the Cilacap area, the projected increase in gasoline fuel is 33%, from the daily average of 434 KL to 576 KL. Gasoil fuel is predicted to increase by 2.1% from the daily average of 198 KL to 202 KL. Meanwhile, LPG consumption is predicted to increase by 9% from the daily average of 176 MT to 192 MT.
In the Purbalingga area, the projected increase in gasoline fuel is 12% from the daily average of 240 KL to 269 KL. Gasoil fuel is predicted to increase by 2.7% from the original daily average of 58 KL to 60 KL. Meanwhile, LPG consumption is predicted to increase by 2% from the daily average of 95 MT to 97 MT.
Fulfillment of LPG Needs during Eid
Besides ensuring fuel supply availability, Pertamina also secures LPG availability in the Central Java. Pertamina adds a fleet of skid tanks, preparing 664 Alert Agents & 5,157 PSO Standby Bases, and 942 NPSO Outlets operating during the Eid holiday, even for areas with high demand for several LPG agents are on standby for 24 hours.
Moreover, it is also easier for consumers to order Bright Gas using the Pertamina Delivery Service 135.
"Through Pertamina Delivery Service, consumers can contact the call center for Pertamina 135, and we will send Bright Gas cylinders from our nearest LPG agent," said Brasto.
Brasto explained that Pertamina had formed a Task Force (Satgas), which will start actively working from April 11 to May 10, 2022.
In anticipation of the heavy homecoming flow for Eid which causes congestion, Pertamina has also prepared a pocket petrol station of a tank trucks on standby as a bag/reserve for fuel supply at points prone to congestion.
Several petrol stations located in strategic locations will also operate for 24 hours.
