Pertamina Hands Over 10 Units of Toilet Facilities For Gunung Agung Refugees

Karang Asem - Pertamina Marketing Operation Region V JatimBaliNus through Pertamina Peduli, Friday Morning (06/17) handed over 10 units of toilet facilities for refugees located in refugee camp in Ulakan village, Manggis sub-district, Karangasem regency. This assistance was submitted directly by Pertamina General Manager MOR V Herman M. Zaini to Ida Nyoman Astawa SSTP as Manggis District Head.

"Alhamdulillah the toilet facilities are completed and can be used by IDPs, the toilet is a necessity that is not less important after the main food staple," said Pertamina GM MOR V Herman M. Zaini.

This aid, Herman continued, is expected to ease the suffering of the refugees. "What the refugees experienced as a result of the elevated status of Mount Agung is our suffering too, we all feel the difficulty of staying in the refugee camp. We hope that in the near future they can return home and resume their activities again, "said Herman.

In addition, Pertamina Peduli also provides support to 7 (seven) main camps by distributing LPG 12 kg and 50 kg to the main camp to be distributed to the other refugee camps. The seven main camps are Swecapura - Klungkung, Ulakan - Karang Asem, Tanah Ampo / Manggis - Karang Asem, Rendang - Karang Asem, Tembok - Buleleng, Les  - Buleleng and Sambirenteng - Buleleng post.

Pertamina has also converted kerosene stove into LPG belonging to TNI in Swecapura camp which will be followed by kerosene stove conversion located in Les camp. From September 22 to October 4, 2017, Pertamina has distributed 237 12 kg LPG tubes, 40 5.5 kg Bright Gas tubes and 12 50 kg LPG tubes. In addition to the above aid, Pertamina has also distributed donations of food, blankets , mattresses, medicines and supplies of daily necessities.

Pertamina Peduli Program as part of SOE Peduli is a commitment of Pertamina as a State-Owned Enterprise to always be present amidst society in Corporate Social Responsibility activities and is a form of concern for the refugees in the emergency response period.
