Pertamina Hosts 2024 Pancasila Day Commemoration Ceremony

Dumai, May 30, 2024 – Pertamina is honored and proud that the Rokan Working Area has been chosen as a host for the 2024 Pancasila Day celebration. The Pancasila Day Commemoration Ceremony will take place at the Garuda Field of Pertamina Hulu Rokan in Dumai on Saturday (June 1, 2024), and will be led by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.

The Agency for Pancasila Ideology Development (BPIP) has designated the Rokan Block as the venue for the Pancasila Day 2024 celebration because it symbolizes the energy resilience of the nation. It is expected to enhance the nation's spirit of nationalism, pride, and unity.

This ceremony is an opportunity to honor the noble values of Pancasila, which have been the foundation of the Indonesian nation for many years. Therefore, PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR), in collaboration with the Dumai City Government, is working together to ensure the ceremony's success.

“We are honored and proud to be entrusted with hosting Pancasila Day. Let us make this historic moment a reflection of the nation’s unity and solidarity,” said VP of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso.

According to Fadjar, the Pancasila Day Ceremony at the Rokan Block is a significant moment to reflect on the noble values of Pancasila, which have been Indonesia’s foundation. As the backbone of national energy, PHR and the entire Pertamina Group, recognize the importance of Pancasila values in operating reliably and safely for national energy resilience.

“Pancasila has been the foundation of our company in conducting business and contributing to the progress of the nation and the country,” he said.

The success of this event also reflects the synergy and collaboration between State-Owned Enterprises (SOE), the Central Government, and Regional Governments in organizing national events.

Throughout 2023, PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) is Indonesia's largest oil and gas producer, producing 167,270 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOEPD). PT PHR has also succeeded in increasing oil and gas production since the takeover in 2021.

PT PHR has also paid a 10% Participating Interest (PI) or ownership fund amounting to IDR 3.5 trillion to PT Riau Petroleum Rokan (RPR), a Regional-Owned Enterprise (BUMD) managing PI funds designated by the Riau Provincial Government to improve the welfare of the Riau community.
