Jakarta, April 5, 2021 - Pertamina collaborates with the South Tangerang City Government to build Pertamina Education Park Taman Kota 1 Tangerang Selatan as an effort to support enviromentally friendly city. Pertamina also provides digital library facility that can be used to obtain general knowledge.
The Pertamina Education Park was inaugurated by the President Commissioner of Pertamina, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, and the Mayor of South Tangerang, Airin Rachmi Diany on Monday, April 5, 2021. Present on this occasion, the Director of Human Resources & Business Support for Commercial & Trading (C&T) Subholding, Isabella Hutahaean, Pertamina West Java Regional Executive General Manager of, Werry Prayogi, CSR & SMEPP Management Vice President of Pertamina, Arya Dwi Paramita, as well as the elected Mayor, Benyamin Davnie and the South Tangerang City Muspida.
"Pertamina is grateful for this collaboration as we want to provide education to the public, especially regarding the Langit Biru Program," said the President Commissioner of Pertamina, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, during Pertamina Education Park inauguration, Monday (5/4).
According to Basuki, Pertamina is currently encouraging the construction of a Pertashop in every village to encourage good quality and environmentally friendly fuel, including the usage of Bright Gas.
"Pertamina also encourages people to use MyPertamina," added Basuki.
According to Basuki, MyPertamina has reached 10 million users, and is hoped that it will continue to be used by all Indonesian people. Therefore, it can be utilized as a database in supporting energy independence and people's welfare.
Basuki added that the development of Educational Parks in Tangerang Selatan is expected to be one way to map potential contributions in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Point 4. Namely, building and improving child-friendly educational facilities and increasing learning opportunities for children and Point 11, namely providing public spaces and green open spaces that are safe, inclusive, and accessible.
Pertamina, added Basuki, runs the TJSL Program throughout Indonesia by focusing on 4 (four) pillars, namely: Smart Pertamina (educational, sports, and cultural activities), Pertamina Sehat (health programs for mothers and children as well as handling the Covid-19 pandemic, education on Clean and Healthy Lifestyle, as well as support for health facilities and infrastructure), Pertamina Hijau (biodiversity program, waste management, and Pertamina Energy-Independent Village) and Pertamina Berdikari (fostered village program, MSME development, and community economic empowerment).
The four pillars are carried out sustainably by paying attention to inclusive and collaborative aspects and guided by ISO 26000 to achieve community independence and support the Government in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
"We must accustomed our self to a healthy lifestyle and a better environment. It is to achieve the SDGs' development goals. We have 135 Call Centers, and this must continue to be used by all Indonesian people. It is because Pertamina contribute to the nation and state, one of which is helping national economic growth," added Basuki.
South Tangerang Mayor, Airin Rachmi Diany expressed her gratitude to Pertamina for the help even through the Pandemic by building an Educational and Children's Park.
"The potential for local revenue has decreased a lot, but with CSR, Pertamina has greatly assisted the development and structuring program in the South Tangerang area," said Airin.
Airin expects that Pertamina's CSR Program will continue because it helps build and manage an environmentally friendly city.
"We hope that it does not stop here, but there will be other CSR assistance in the context of the development and arrangement of Tangerang Selatan City, which the community will certainly utilize," Airin concluded.**
