Pertamina Make BBM Satu Harga on Seram Island
Maluku - PT Pertamina (Persero) continues to realise One Price Fuel Program, as part of government assignment, across the archipelago. This time, One Price Fuel Program is manifested in West Seram District, Maluku Province.
Director General of Oil and Gas Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ego Syahrial inaugurated One Price Fuel Program in the form of mini gas station construction in Wailey, Latu Village, Amalatu District, West Seram District, Maluku Province on Monday October 2, 2017.
Attending the inauguration are the Head of Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) M Fanshurullah Asa, SVP Fuel & Marketing Distribution PT Pertamina (Persero) Gigih Wahyu Hari Irianto, West Seram Regent M Yasin Payapo, and Member of Commission VII House of Representatives Mercy Chriesty Barends.
"Through the One Price Fuel Program, the government together with Pertamina is committed to continue to increase the number of fuel supplier institutions throughout Indonesia. Thank God, today, people in Amalatu can finally enjoy the fuel at the same price as in Java. This cannot be realised without to the support of local government , TNI and Polri, as well as related stakeholders, "said Director General of Oil and Gas Ministry of ESDM Ego Syahrial in his speech.
SVP Fuel & Marketing Distribution PT Pertamina (Persero) Gigih Wahyu Hari Irianto said that until now SPBU Amalatu is the 25th SPBU which has been built from the total of 54 planned BBM Satu Harga National Distributor Agencies in 3 T Region, for Pertamina MOR VIII Amalatu is the 13th point of a total of 19 Distributor Agencies to be established in Maluku Papua region until the end of 2017
"The establishment of this gas station is expected to bring positive impacts for the economy and for people in eastern Indonesia, especially the West Seram community," said Gigih Wahyu Hari Irianto. Meanwhile, Regent of West Seram M. Yasin Payapo said that earlier the price of fuel in Amalatu can reach Rp12.000 / liter.
"Amalatu people feel very grateful for the presence of gas stations here, so people can enjoy Premium at Rp6.450 / liter and diesel for Rp5.150 / liter. It will certainly ease the burden on people who has difficulty in buying fuel," he said.
Pursuant to the Regulation of Minister of ESDM Number 36 Year 2016 regarding Accelerating the Enforcement of Satu Harga of Specific Fuel Type and Special Fuel Type Assigned Nationally, the government commissioned Pertamina to realisee BBM Satu Harga in all regions of Indonesia since 1 January 2017.
Head of BPH Migas M.Fanshurullah Asa also asserted that the establishment of SPBU in 3 T region is not an easy thing considering the geographical and high freight cost, so it needs to be ensured of its allocation. "There should be monitoring from Local Government and Apparatus for the distribution of BBM Satu Harga is right on target" concluded Fanshurullah.
