Pertamina Opens Opportunities for Synergy with Various Countries, Promotes Water and Environmental Conservation at WWF 2024

Jakarta, May 24, 2024 - PT Pertamina (Persero) is committed to maintaining sustainable environmental conservation in its business operations. It was emphasized by the company at the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) 2024 in Indonesia.

Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, stated that Pertamina showcases various efforts and innovations by the Pertamina Group regarding water conservation and environmental preservation.

One of the concrete programs is providing clean water access to communities, which positively impacts their welfare.

"First, Pertamina's concrete program through the provision of clean water access to communities has benefitted tens of thousands of households," Fadjar explained at the Pertamina booth during the WWF event (May 23).

He noted that these efforts follow the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), goal number six, which aims to provide clean water access to communities.

Second, Fadjar continued, besides the commitment to water conservation, other efforts to integrate Pertamina's commitment include utilizing Pertamina Group's technology to increase water use efficiency and waste treatment to be more environmentally friendly. Pertamina has a wastewater quality monitoring system to ensure water quality management for the environment.

Third, expanding the network by opening opportunities for cooperation with governments, private sectors, and other stakeholders, and even at the WWF event, there are opportunities to expand cooperation with various countries.

At the Pertamina booth, he mentioned there was a very positive response from representatives of various countries, with interest from multiple countries in Pertamina's innovations in water management and environmental preservation.
