Pertamina Patra Niaga Commits to Monitoring LPG Filling at SPBE and SPPBE in the Sukabumi Area

Jakarta, May 30, 2024 - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga West Java Region is committed to monitoring the filling quantities of LPG cylinders by conducting quantity and quality checks of 3 kg LPG at several Bulk LPG Filling Stations (SPBE) and Bulk LPG Filling and Transportation Stations (SPPBE) in the Sukabumi Retail Sales Area on Tuesday (28/5). This initiative ensures that the LPG marketed to the public fulfills the required quantity and quality standards.

During visits to three SPBE and SPPBE locations in the Sukabumi and Cianjur areas, namely SPBE PT Patra Trading, SPPBE PT Renata Putra Sentosa, and SPPBE PT Chunur Company, Sales Area Manager Sukabumi, Zia Ardhi, measured 80 sampled cylinders to ensure their size and weight were accurate.

"Based on the 3 kg LPG cylinder check results, all sampled cylinders had a total weight, including contents, of over 8 kg and complied with regulations," stated Zia.

Eko Kristiawan, Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga West Java Region, indicated that the LPG cylinder filling monitoring at SPBE and SPPBE is conducted periodically in each sales area to ensure that the metrological measures are active.

"Pertamina regularly checks the LPG cylinders filling and supervises the filling process at SPBE and SPPBE to ensure the LPG marketed to the public is accurate," said Eko.

Eko added that measures are continuously taken to anticipate any residue or leftover gas in the LPG cylinders that might affect the filling quantity, preventing inaccuracies that could harm consumers and the general public.

"Pertamina Patra Niaga will impose administrative sanctions up to operating license revocation for SPBE and SPPBE that do not comply with regulations," added Eko.

Meanwhile, Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Irto Ginting, stated that Pertamina Patra Niaga will continue to strengthen synergy with the Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, not only for supervision but also for improving systems to ensure the smooth 3 kg LPG distribution from filling stations to the public.
