Pertamina Patra Niaga Continues to Distribute Pertalite Following Government Assignment
Jakarta, May 8, 2024 - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, a subsidiary of Pertamina, reaffirms its commitment to continue supplying Pertalite (RON 90) fuel to the public, following the 2024 quota set by the government.
Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Irto Ginting, emphasized that according to Ministerial Decree No. 37.K/HK.02/MEM.M/2022, Pertalite is classified as a Special Assignment Fuel (JBKP). Therefore, any changes in its distribution must comply with government policies.
"Up to now, we are still distributing Pertalite in all regions as assigned by the government. Thus, the public does not need to worry," Irto stated firmly in a written statement (7/5).
Furthermore, Irto added that Pertamina Patra Niaga, as an entity responsible for distributing subsidized fuel, is committed to adhering to and implementing all government policies.
"In principle, we will follow and implement all government policies," Irto said.
As of April 2024, the national distribution of Pertalite recorded a total of 9.9 million kiloliters (KL) out of the total Pertalite quota for 2024 set by the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) of 31.7 million KL.
Irto revealed that Pertamina Patra Niaga has also promoted digitalization for subsidized fuel distribution through the Subsidi Tepat (Precise Subsidy) program.
"The Subsidi Tepat program is our effort to ensure transparency in the subsidized fuel distribution. Through digitalization, the subsidized fuel distribution can be monitored in real-time, preventing potential misuse in the field," he concluded.
VP of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that Pertamina's commitment to distributing Pertalite fuel is aligned with its efforts to maintain national energy resilience.
