Denpasar, May 15, 2024 – Ahead of the 10th World Water Forum (WWF), held from May 18-25, 2024, in Bali, Pertamina ensures optimal energy supply availability.
“Through the Jatimbalinus region, Pertamina guarantees aviation fuel (avtur), fuel, and LPG supply for the WWF 2024 event,” conveyed Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso.
Ahad Rahedi, Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR of Jatimbalinus Region, confirmed that all Pertamina Patra Niaga facilities are in optimal condition. “All energy supply facilities, especially fuel and LPG, are ready to support the event. The most crucial supply is aviation fuel, with an estimated consumption increase at Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, of around 21% or 400 kiloliters (kl) per day compared to the normal daily consumption of 2,050 kl/day. The peak consumption of aviation fuel is expected to occur from May 17-19, 2024,” explained Ahad.
Ngurah Rai DPPU, as the backbone of aviation fuel supply in Bali, has a total storage tank capacity of 24,300 kl, supported by seven refueling trucks with a 40 kl capacity and two refueling trucks with a 25 kl capacity, along with 14 hydrant dispenser units. To support this event, all facilities and equipment at Ngurah Rai AFT will be operated 24 hours a day during the WWF event.
These services’ readiness is supported by Ngurah Rai AFT personnel who are certified by Pertamina Aviation Competence Education (PACE) from Pertamina Aviation Quality Assurance (QA), Refueling Defueling Truck (RDT) certification from the Ministry of Transportation, and Special Technical Workforce Certification (STTK) A from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
“Pertamina’s aviation operators are certified to international presidential aircraft standards, ensuring that the aviation fuel distribution to airlines undergoes stringent quality control in both the product and personnel qualifications. Thus, Pertamina guarantees the fuel quality used by the presidential aircraft of WWF delegates and other commercial aircraft,” added Ahad.
The Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Irto Ginting, expressed pride in Indonesia hosting the 10th World Water Forum. Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures that the fuel needs for aviation and land transportation sectors will be well fulfilled during the forum.
“This is the world’s largest water forum and the first time it is being held in Indonesia, involving many stakeholders. Therefore, its organization has been meticulously prepared. Pertamina Patra Niaga will provide maximum support for this event and will coordinate intensively with airlines, Angkasa Pura, TNI, POLRI, and Airnav to ensure smooth energy supply services,” said Irto.
